~Happiness is...~

Good Morning~

Remember, sometimes we might not be able to control how our day goes, but that doesn't mean we can't turn someone else's day around!

“You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world's happiness now. How? By sharing a few kind words with someone who may be lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime.”

Just wanted to share some kind words and happiness pictures with you all, my friends...

My Heart And Prayers Goes Out To The Families In Joplin, Mo..

Good Morning,
So devastating! I pray that they don't have anymore tornadoes go through there, as they say that there is no place for the people to go to for shelter. They've sent some of our emergency crews up there to help. Please keep these families in your prayers along with me..

Have a great day and I pray that severe weather doesn't come through Oklahoma City today too, since they say we have very good chances of having some..  both severe weather for our area today and tomorrow. I'm not a fan of tornado season around here, needless to say! They scare the hebbie jeebie out of me! I am so glad that we had a storm shelter built inside our car garage when we had our home built. We've used it many, many times in the 9 years that we've lived here. A few of our neighbor's have also shared it right along with us. I always tell them that they are more than welcome to share it with us!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I love the comments you leave for me.

Blessings,
~Lynn

Armed Forces Day, Saturday May 21, 2011

What is Armed Forces Day?

Armed Forces Day is celebrated the third Saturday in May. It is also part of Armed Forces Week, which begins on the second Saturday of May.

It is simply a day to salute sharply to all of the men and women in all branches of the service who protect our country and you. They can be called upon at a moment's notice to perform a risky and perilous mission for freedom and country. They train diligently both physically and mentally so they will be prepared to prevail in any mission they face.

Just how did it all begin? Well, each branch of the military had their own day of celebration. But, on August 31, 1949, then Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of Armed Forces Day. President Harry Truman also announced the holiday in a presidential proclamation on February 20, 1950. All branches of the military were asked to celebrate on this day and they complied on the first Armed Forces Day which was held the following year on May 20, 1950.

Today is Armed Forces Day. My husband and I would like to say "Thank You" to our son Daniel, and to of all the brave men and women who have served and are currently serving here and abroad. May God Bless each and everyone of you and keep you all safe and out of harms way..

Blessings,
~Lynn

~I'm A Very Blessed Mom!!~

~Eddie Lee~

~Michele~
~Jamie~

~Daniel~
Good afternoon my dear friends.. I've been sitting here at my computer for the past few days now, pondering over in my mind, what would be interesting to write..I've been kind of at a loss here. I still don't have all my vacation pictures downloaded yet, so I'm not able to share those with you.. Then I sit here thinking about it being Mom's Day this coming Sunday... How I love and have loved being a mom to 4 kids! I'm like you, I'm sure, when I think I have been so BLESSED with 4 wonderful children!!

I'll now introduce my grown adult kids to you here, on my blog..

My oldest son, Eddie Lee, was born severely mentally and physically handicapped. He was always such a happy baby and happy adult young man too.. He passed away in 2008, and is so very deeply missed and  so very much loved by all. I know he's up in Heaven, all healed now, walking with our Lord Jesus Christ!
My next (adult) child is Michele Lee.. She works as a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse, and works in ICU now, and has lived in several states working at her job at the different hospitals.. I get to visit and stay with Michele at most all of the places she has worked at, which is really pretty neat, as I get to see alot of new places too, since she knows too that I looove to travel!. My next (adult) child is, Jamie. He's a dedicated High School Principal who loves to Karaoke, and is really good at it too! He lives his life to the very fullest!! Never a dull moment! My youngest (adult) child is Daniel. Daniel is with the USAF.. He served our country in Balad, Iraq for 6 months. He has a civilian job at Tinker Air Force Base stationed here. His 6 years serving our country will come to an end on the 30th of September.. as he's going back to being a civilian again and only working at his civilian job. He's also a very dedicated and hard working young man..

There aren't enough words to express the love that I have for each one of my kids! I have been in love with them right from the time I found out from my doctor that I was pregnant for sure with each one of them! They and I bonded right then and there!! Soooo wonderful!! As I mentioned earlier in my blog, I have been sooo very BLESSED!!  Since Dan and I became empty nester's, this big ol house is sooo quiet now, without having their music playing, whether it's from the radio or them playing their own instruments, as Shel played her alto saxophone, guitar, trumpet, and electric organ, each one every day and Daniel played his drums and acoustic and electric guitars every day too, plus each of them singing, whether they are in the shower (as Jamie always did and still does!) or singing inside their own bed rooms, and also having their laughter flowing throughout our home on a daily basis, but, oooohhh the memories this MOM has will last totally forever!! I LOVE Each One Of YOU, Eddie Lee, Michele, Jamie and Daniel! Much more than you could ever begin to know or imagine!! ♥♥♥♥
I've heard it said that parents know they've done a real good job raising their kids when each one of their children have got their wings to fly.. I know we've done a great job Hubby!!

I hope that each one of you who are reading my blog today, have a wonderful and Happy Mother's Day too!! ♥♥

Blessings,
~Lynn

~My Grand Daughter, Autumn Marie, And Great Grand Daughter Averie and Great Grandson Bhryce ~

They all our real precious! Averie, Autumn Marie, and Bhryce.
Hope everyone's Easter was a wonderful one spent with family and friends! Dan and I had a real nice Easter dinner outing with Daniel and his girlfriend Stacy. We decided to meet at Dong A's for lunch after church. Everthing tasted sooo good! (as it always does!)

I just got back home from staying with Jamie for a month out in Ca. on Saturday night and didn't have a thing at all planned or made for having an Easter together family dinner on Easter Sunday..so, that's when Dong A's got our vote for a restaurant to eat our Easter meal at! :)

I'm just in a wind down mode of sorts today... as I'm still in my jammies, and it's an hour past lunchtime and  I'm sitting here thinking that I must be having some kind of ~Jet Lag~!! No real git up and go whatsoever... Maybe tomorrow I'll find me some! It's been raining here since I got home, and it just looks totally blah outside, and is just a real good day for me to do some at home relaxing now, don't you agree? My body clock has gone through quite a few different time changes, that's for sure! You figure, I Started out on Oklahoma time, then went on California time, then onto Philipines time,  then back on to California time, and now... I'm back on Oklahoma time. Whew!! My body clock doesn't know whether it's time to be up or if it's time for me to be going to bed! No wonder I don't have any git up and go! I'm sure that I'll be fine and back on track with my body clock gizzmo tomorrow!

Jamie, Michael and Me
Here's a sneak preview of my vacation to the Philipines.. Don't mind the date on the picture, as it's wrong.. This was where we ate all our meals while staying at Boracay Beach... Sooo good!! Jamie and I loved trying out the different kinds of desserts that they had, plus all the different delishious tasting dishes they had set out for everyone there to try!

I'll share more pictures with you at a later time.. as I still have lots to download yet..

Have a wonderful day!

Blessings,
~Lynn

Just Got Back From Vacationing In The Philippines!

Oh my goodness, I had such a wonderful time in the Philippines! My son Jamie and his friend, Michael invited me to go along with them a few months back, and it sure didn't take me long to tell them YES, that I'd travel along with them! We spent 10 wonderful days in the Philippines and visited LaUnion, Baglio, Manila, and Boracay Beach. Every place was so very awesome to see and visit! I will share pictures as soon as I can! Michael's family live near LaUnion and are such wonderful people! They made our visit there with them such a wonderful and memorable one! Maybe someday, they'll be able to visit with us  here in the United States, which would be so great!

Hope you all are doing well. I've had you all in my thoughts and prayers..  Take care, and I will write more on my blog soon.. Wanted you all to know that I haven't forgot about you! I'm still vacationing with Jamie and Michael and will be home soon.. Miss and love my two guys who are waiting for me back home!

  Love you all!
