We've Got Some Sprinkles Of Rain!!

Good Afternoon My Dear Friends and Family!

I wanted to share with you that yes, we actually did get a few sprinkles of rain today! Enjoy the pictures!It is 107 degrees with heat index of 113 degrees. Sooo hot!! We are supposed to have 108 temps for the next several days, with no relief in sight! I am soooo glad for air conditioners, that's for sure!!

P.S.  Now we have bigger raindrops falling down outside! Yeah!!  I'm soooo happy for any amount of rain we get, as we sure can use it!

The ~ INFLUENZA BUG~ IS HERE ONCE AGAIN...

This makes two schools that I know of that has been closed down because of having the bug!

 

I hope everyone stays healthy and that the flu bug doesn't find you... or me! If you happen to have this nasty flu bug, I pray that you get to feeling better real soon!  Take care and be sure to drink plenty of fluids, have some chicken noodle soup and get plenty of rest... Those oldtime remedies really do work.... still!

 

 

On another note here, today is my weigh in day at Weight Watcher's... My bathroom scales are saying that there's a chance that I just might have a small loss on their scales today! I sure hope so, as I've been trying hard to behave all week, and we all know how hard that is for me to do! I'll be sure to let you know if I did have a weight loss and how much if any...

~Weigh In Day Today!~

Good Morning,
Gosh, here it is Wednesday once again, and weigh in day for me at Weight Watcher's... I'm not sure that I'm going to have any weight loss today.. I have had those days where I've watched what and how much I've ate and then I've had those other days where I haven't watched real close as to what I've ate, soooo... We shall see what their scales say for me today! Wish me luck!! I've got to get more disciplined with myself!! Just to learn to tell myself when enough food that I've consumed is definately enough... that I'm satisfied.. no longer hungry.. 

Dan and I ate out last Sunday, twice, once for lunch with our son and then once for supper and then one time for lunch on Monday.. We usually eat lunch together after my Weight Watcher's meeting on Wednesday's..so, I think that we might go out to eat at our favorite Chinese food restaurant today.. that is nearby his workplace.. I don't normally eat my breakfast on my weigh in day... I just eat a banana  and drink an 8 oz. glass of milk after so that I can take my med's..
 Even a small weight loss would be sooo wonderful!! I'll let you know how I did..

Today's The Day!

Good Morning~
 I have been doing so poorly at posting on my blog this brand New Year of 2011. I'm so sorry. I just have been completely blank as to what to write.. that is till this morning! (thank goodness!!)  :0

I hope everyone had a real good New Year's Eve! My Hubby and I didn't make it till midnight before calling it a night. It's been a few years since we've done that I guess. We used to stay up and watch the Big Ball drop in NYC with Dick Clark, but, have found that sleep eventually outweighed doing that! But anyhow, I hope this New Year of 2011 will be a great and wonderful year for everyone!!♥♥

Speaking of weight in a round about way here, today is when I've decided to go to my Weight Watcher's meeting and get weighed in. I didn't go last week... and the week before that I did good with my weight loss, but, I've a feeling I've put those couple pounds back on.. I've got to get myself on the right track here once again, as I know this diet works, since I'm a Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers.. Wish me luck today, as I know I'm gonna need it!!

Well guess I had better go get myself ready to face my ~NUMBERS ON THE SCALE~

Hopefully, now that the holiday's are all over with, I'll be able to concentrate more on what I should and should not be eating a whole lot better!

~Happy Hump Day!~

Here it is Wednesday already! The days are flying by so it seems!  My goodness, the weekend will be here before we know!

Today I'm doing laundry... and I've got to go get my flu shot around 3pm today.. I got one last year and it really did seem to help.. I'm not sure if my Hubby is going to get his today with me or not. I'll have to wait and see.

I went to my cardiologist this past Monday, and he says that I'm doing well.. Thank Goodness!! I feel great! He'd like to see me again in 6 months.. He wasn't real happy with my weight gain... as neither am I.. but, that's okay.. I am planning on taking all my extra weight off that I've gained back on me... Hopefully!

I didn't make it to my weight watcher's meeting yesterday... I'll just go next Tuesday, since I only need to go once a month now anyhow..since I'm a Lifetime member with them..

Not much else going on... The sun is shining outside so pretty... and we are to get in the low 90's today.. It's still like summertime here! The leaves on my Bradford Pear tree are turning their fall colors though.. I'll have to take a picture and share it with you... It is looking real pretty! I always have loved the fall season with all the gorgeous fall colors that are outside! I remember always looking forward to fall, especially when I lived back in Pennsylvania.. the fall colors there were absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking to see!!

~MY GOOD WILL FIND YESTERDAY!!

I just happened to stop by GW and lo and behold I came across these gorgeous dishes! I got 4 cups,  6 salad plates, and 6 dinner plates, and 8 cereal bowls.. Not so bad for only $9.99!! I really love them!!

I love the colors and design on them real well!! I know some on the same plan of them have caught my eye before while I was out and about shopping!

Thank you all for the wonderful Birthday Wishes!! You all are so sweet and kind!! I really had a very nice birthday!!  My hubby wanted to get me a birthday cake, and I asked him please not to, as I only wanted to be a *little bit bad on my ww diet.. sooo, we decided to stop at Braum's and get us a creamy yogurt soft serve ice cream cone, which is both of our favorites! I don't know how many points it added up to be for sure, but... I felt like I really wanted to have either a Birthday Cake or some Birthday Ice Cream, and the ice cream won!! It tasted sooo good, as it was sooo very hot outside!! I know I made the right decision on that one!

~GOING GARAGE & YARD SAILING TODAY!~

Good Morning!
Gosh, I only have 35 more minutes able to say that! This morning has certainly flown by! I've spent time this morning at different websites on my PC just reminiscing, and thinking back (sp)... I really like and find myself doing this every now and then! Recapturing and recalling one's memories are soo wonderful!

Today I am planning on going out and seeing how many garage and yard sales I can find! I haven't stopped at any yet this season and there sure has been quite a few of them going on around these parts! I'm hoping to find some pretty china dishes mainly.. I might go to the Thrift and Goodwill stores today too, if I have time left in my day to do so..

HAPPY "HUMP" DAY EVERYONE!

My goodness here it is Wednesday already! Where is the time going? I know why it's flying by so fast for me, it's because I have a stress test I've got to have done on Friday morning at 11:30! Oh, so not looking forward to having it done, as I had one done about 5 years or so ago done and thought I was going to die, right there on that reclined treadmill!!

Today was my day for doing some grocery shopping! Just what I really need, more food brought into our home, as my hubby and maybe even all our grown kids would say! But...there were a few items that I just had to have don't you just know! So, I went and got them and needless to say, a few more things fell right into my basket, besides those needed items too.. Funny how that always seems to happen! Any of you have that same thing happen to you too?

As for weight watcher's yesterday, I did gain one pound, but I'm right back on track with watching my points today! WHEW! Oh, I didn't buy anymore delicious truffles or ice cream today either, so that's got to be a very BIG PLUS!!

It's Wednesday...Hump Day! WooHoo!!

Good Morning... Here it is Wednesday already! I haven't decided yet as to what all I hope to get done before my hair appointment today.. I'm just having one of those lazy-ish days..I guess. I really had a nice day yesterday! I went to my WW's meeting, and then Sandy, (is a lady who has moved here from Tennessee and is in my WW's class) and I went out to lunch at Subway.. then I got my nails done and then went home..

I wanted to share that I did have a weight loss of .2lb... I was really hoping for more, but, a weight loss, no matter how small it may be, is in the right direction.. I will just have to try a bit harder to do better this coming week! Many of you have done great on your weight losses! Sandy (from my WW's) and I have decided on getting together soon and walking 2 or 3 times a week. I think that would be great! I think if we have a friend who can keep us focused and accountable really helps one out a bunch too! Thank you to everyone who wished me good luck! It really worked!

Dan from yesterday once more mentioned on his blog about a lady who's friend's son Luke, has cancer, and would like for us to keep Luke and his family in our prayers.. It is so hard for one to begin to understand the reasons as to why these illnesses happen to our love ones... I honestly believe that someday the Lord will tell us why..

I'd like to have some prayers said for the people in Haiti, that they receive the medical supplies and help that they need, for our president and for our nation, for all the military soldiers, those overseas and also for the one's who are at home and for all of their families, for the people who are having the bad weather now, and also for my friends and family who are in need of our prayers.. Thank you all so very much for your prayers!
