~Our Front Porch~

Good Afternoon.. Been so busy with the garage organization and with getting our bedroom ready for some new bedroom furniture that is to come around the 14th of July. The company has been having some problem with their mfg. and that is why it is taking them so long. I've been waiting since the beginning of June.. and needless to say, I am pretty anxious to have it delivered..

Here are some front porch pictures I wanted to share with you all since it's been quite a while since I've shared pictures with you all..

~I really like our wicker furniture~

~It's 102 * out with a heat index of 104*~  Whew!! Hot!!

~I like this view of our porch too from the main entrance street~

~The new wind chimes my hubby got for me~

Have a wonderful rest of the day! Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting me!

Bad Hair Days, Pouty Faces & More...

Good Morning~
I hope this finds you all doing well! I am so sorry that it has been some time since I've written on my blog, but my husband and I have been real busy with going through all our items that are inside the garage and trying to find extra space in there! Oh my goodness, what a job, but.... Thankfully, I can say that....We're almost there! Maybe some of you have an idea as to how stressful doing a job as such can be and how it can get on one's nerves, and can cause one to have a few pouty faces too... that is,.till it's done! Even causes one to have alot of... Bad Hair Days too! There may have been a couple days where mine didn't get fixed the way I normally fix it... but, that's okay.. Hubby didn't seem to notice it looking too bad anyhow. Ha! Probably cause he didn't take the time to look over there at me, while I was sweating, and working ever soooo hard! We have been having really hot temps both outside and inside the garage for real though! Three digit temps at both places!  ;-)   (My husband just came in from the garage and said maybe he got too carried away with his throwing of items out, as now, he can't find our Kitty Kat's pooper scooper anywhere out there.... )  He wouldn't have thrown that out now, or....would he????  We might have to make a special trip to Super Wal Mart's today...

I'm not able to share a picture of the comforter set that I purchased from JC Penney's today, but will try to share the link with you..http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?GrpTyp=STY&ItemID=1a71e42&submit search.y=8&Ntt=Artisan+10+pc.+comforter+set&SearchString=Artisan+10+pc.+comforter+set&Ne=840+4+877+878+5+961+6+29+3+598+11+15+12+506+10+23+585+596+963+579+1031+8+1022+1014+586+1007+879+1027+18+904+903+969+833+949&hdnOnGo=true&NOffset=0&submit search.x=14&Nao=0&N=4294959029&SO=0&PSO=0&CmCatId=searchresults

You will need to highlight the complete link, click on copy, then click on paste and add it to your search gizzmo and then hit enter.. then penney's link of the bedding should appear and you ought to be able to see the bedding.

Hopefully, it will work so you'll be able to see it. I am liking the look of black/brown and find myself using it in some of my decorating lately. Please let me know if you like it.. I really do like the colors and the flowers on it.

I am so happy that Annie & Jade's baby girl, Ollie Faith is doing so well after having her heart surgery. She's such a lil sweetheart, as are her siblings, Everett and Aubrie. Let's keep Ollie Faith, Annie & Jade and their family all in our prayers.  God is sooo good!

Here it is Friday and the weekend upon us once again! Where does the time go? It does seem like the days go by sooo fast anymore! It is hard keeping up with them sometimes! You all have a wonderful day, and fantastic weekend too! Have fun and enjoy!

Blessings!

I Can Relate, Can You??

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oHBG3ABUJU&feature=player_embedded

Good Morning!
I came across this on my Facebook page this morning and thought I'd share it with you all. I sure can relate, and my husband says that he can too! No wonder I'm, (we're) so tired by the end of my (our) day!

I hope you are having a great weekend! We have been working on going through items out in our garage. What a job!! We still have a loooong way to go!

~Shelba~

~Zoey~
We are supposed to get up to 103 degrees today! We made a record high yesterday with 103 degrees, at least that's what I think was what the weatherman said. I was only listening with one ear on the news and one ear on listening to my grown puppy dogs with whom I brought inside from being out in the hot heat outside. Needless to say, Shelba and Zoey love being inside almost as much as they do being outside, and sometimes I think even more!

You all have a great weekend! Stay coooooooool!!  Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting me and for leaving me such sweet comments!

Blessings,
~Lynn

~Flag Day~

Good Morning...
My friend Kath, whose blog is http://weepingcedarhollow.blogspot.com/ shared this on FaceBook this morning, and I thought I'd share it with you, my friends and family who come here to visit my blog..   Have a wonderful day today on Flag Day!

by Howard Schnauber

I am the flag of the United States of America.
My name is Old Glory.
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over great institutes of learning.
I stand guard with the greatest military power in the world.
Look up! And see me!

I stand for peace - honor - truth and justice.
I stand for freedom
I am confident - I am arrogant
I am proud.

When I am flown with my fellow banners
My head is a little higher
My colors a little truer.
I bow to no one.
I am recognized all over the world.
I am worshipped - I am saluted - I am respected
I am revered - I am loved, and I am feared.

I have fought every battle of every war for more than 200 years:
Gettysburg, Shilo, Appomatox, San Juan Hill, the trenches of France,
the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome, the beaches of Normandy,
the deserts of Africa, the cane fields of the Philippines,
the rice paddies and jungles of Guam, Okinawa, Japan, Korea, Vietnam,
Guadalcanal New Britain, Peleliu, and many more islands.
And a score of places long forgotten by all but those who were with me.

I was there.
I led my soldiers - I followed them.
I watched over them.
They loved me.
I was on a small hill in Iwo Jima.
I was dirty, battle-worn and tired, but my soldiers cheered me,
and I was proud.

I have been soiled, burned, torn and trampled on the streets of
countries I have helped set free.
It does not hurt, for I am invincible.
I have been soiled, burned, torn and trampled on the streets of my OWN country,
and when it is by those with whom I have served in battle - it hurts.
But I shall overcome - for I am strong.

I have slipped the bonds of Earth and stand watch over the
uncharted new frontiers of space
from my vantage point on the moon.
I have been a silent witness to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes when I am torn into strips to
be used for bandages for my wounded comrades on the field of battle,
When I fly at half mast to honor my soldiers,
And when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving
mother at the graveside of her fallen son.
I am proud.
My name is Old Glory.
Dear God - Long may I wave.

Blessings,
~Lynn

Cute!!

Good Morning! Gosh, here it is Friday once again! Not complaining by any means! My friend shared this with me and I thought that I'd share it with you all on my blog.. Enjoy! I'm sure it will make your day!
This story kind of reminded me of myself in a round about way. Yesterday, our youngest son, Daniel was flying in at TAFB from Hawaii,  and I was to pick him up on base. Well, I am always afraid of getting lost if I'm not sure where I'm going. Anyhow, I thought I'd pass some time by going and getting my nails done. That went great, and was so relaxing to me! Then, I thought I'd go over to Bed, Bath & Beyond to pick up a couple items, which I did, and put them inside my parked car trunk. Then I thought that I'd look around in at Penney's and then check out Ross afterwards and then stop over at Braum's on my way home. Well, like I mentioned, I put my items into my parked car trunk and then I walked to Penney's and found a few items I wanted and when I went to pay for them, I couldn't find my debit card where I normally put it after using or anywhere inside of my purse. I called Bed, Bath & Beyond and she said she had it there. So... I walked back over to their store and got my card, and then thought to myself that I'd just drive my car over to Penney's instead of walking back over there again. Well, lo and behold, I couldn't find my car! I looked and walked all over the parking lots while looking at each of the cars parked. Finally, I found my car parked right where I left it, in between BB& Beyond and Ross, so I wouldn't foget where it was! Honest to pete!! So anyhow, I drove up to Penny's and paid for my items and decided NOT to go to Ross at this time, as I was too pooped to do anymore kind of walking whatsoever! These stores are all in a medium sized plaza..so, they aren't all that far apart from each other, but far enough when you're walking from one end of the plaza stores to the other end! So anyhow, I went home and waited till it was time to pick my son up at TAFB.. Made it there to pick Daniel up okay, which I was kinda, sorta thinking I'd be ok finding the gate where he wanted me to pick him up at, but wasn't 100% sure.. After not being able to find my parked car, I was definately a tad bit doubtful of myelf! But anyhow, I was very glad when I read that I'm not the only one who sometimes misplaces their parked car in the shopping parking lots!
My 2002 Toyota Corolla doesn't have any way of letting me know where she's at like my 2000 Mustang does.. It can beep its horn to let me know where she's at! Our next family car will definately have that feature on it, especially for my use, & especially when I have my *so called* Senior Moments such as I did yesterday!

~Wasn't quite this bad..BUT ALMOST!!~

Hope you all have a very wonderful, fun and safe weekend! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I love reading the sweet comments you write to me! ♥♥

Blessings,
~Lynn
