Much of central Oklahoma feels 4.5-magnitude earthquake right after 9:00am Wednesday
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Like much of central Oklahoma, KFOR studios felt a rather sizable earthquake tremor a little after 9:00am Wednesday. Almost immediately, our studios started receiving calls from as far away as Noble and Tulsa from viewers who had felt the quake. So far, the U.S. Geological Survey has classified the earthquake as having a magnitude of 4.5, which classifies it as "moderate."

While details are still sketchy on how long the earthquake lasted and how far away it was actually felt, we're continuing to investigate the details and will update this story as those details come in.

This sure was scary! I've never felt anything like it before...ever! I was sitting at my computer desk when it hit... I can't describe the intense force that was actually on the inside of my home that I could actually feel... It was so weird! My house shook so much that I thought that before long I'd be having my house beams fall right ontop of me.. It's just asthough I could feel my house being lifted up..and shook! I was dumbfounded so to speak.. I should have had my senses about me to go to our storm shelter that is out in our garage till this was over, but I didn't... I just wasn't sure that I was experiencing exactly what I was experiencing, if that makes any sense! There wasn't anything on our news at that time about it.....I gave my hubby a call, as he was down at our Vet's getting our dog Zoe her shots and all, and he said they felt the same thing in there.. I guess it was felt as far away as Tulsa from what I've heard.. I sure hope that no one was injured or homes lost because of it.. I'll have the noon news on for sure!

Other than that, my day is going great so far... I've got the washing machine running and getting a few things done around here.. that I didn't get to over the weekend!

Hope you all had a good weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting!

Blessings,
~Lynn
