~I'M BACK ON TRACK ONCE AGAIN!!~

Hello!
Well today, I made up my mind to actually really *GO* to my Weight Watcher Meeting! I haven't been there since April 27th. I've been so frustrated with myself, as my bathroom scales show ME my weight gain, and SO have the pictures that have been taken with me in them recently.. Not a pretty site to say the least! I've got to get serious again and get back to my goal weight. I felt so much better, and also looked like I did too! Starting today I am going to work seriously hard at getting back and staying on track. So far, I've done good! Wish me luck! I've made it to my goal once, and by golly I know I can do it again!! Only this time when I actually do make it, I want to stay at my goal weight for a lot longer than what I did this last time!

I never, ever thought that I'd be one to have a weight problem, as I was one who could eat whatever and however much they wanted to without gaining an ounce of weight, that is until I hit 35 years old! Then that's when my weight started coming on! I had divorced at that age and I also wasn't anywhere as active as I had been before I divorced. Exercise really does play a really big part in losing and keeping weight off, I've found out over the years. That's my problem now, I don't exercise anywhere nearly enough. So, I've got to really disapline myself to get out there and do some walking for a half hour to an hour a day. Makes for great exercise, this I already know for a fact! Wish me luck...again you all!! I need all the positiveness that I can get at this point and time! Thanks!! I haven't been doing my 30 day shred with Julian the way I had wanted and hoped to be doing either.. I've just been so, so very BAD!! Gosh, I've got to get myself into doing these important things better!!

~Was Great Spending Time With My Two Son's, Granddaughter, and Great GrandChildren!~

Good Morning...
The sun isn't shining, and it has been raining off and on all morning, but.. lo and behold I'm still on top of the world, so to speak!

I'm just so tickled to be able to share my pictures with you all.. once again! Thanks Daniel for making that possible again for me!

I'm sharing a picture of our son Jamie holding his two grand kids, and then one of Jamie, Marie, and me on Marie's High School graduation day.. It was wonderful being able to attend her graduation and also spending time with her, the grand children and our son Jamie. It was also great that our son Daniel was able to attend Marie's graduation and spend time with everyone too! I wish that our daughter Michele and my husband could have been there also, but their work schedules wouldn't allow them to be. I know their hearts and thoughts were there with us just the same!

This weekend zoomed by real fast!! We went checking out vehicles with Daniel on Saturday, went to Church on Sunday, and then we all went to Olive Garden for lunch afterwards.. Tasty as always!!

I Sure Am Ready For A Vacation... How Bout You??

Good Morning,
Hi everyone! Just wondering, are you longing or wishing you could go on a vacation? Boy I am! I was just reading a couple of my friend's postings of their vacation on their blogs, and how it makes me wish I were on one right now! I love vacations! I definately have the ~vacation itch~!!

One of my friends and her family are over in France right now! They are having a marvelous time! She's shared some beautiful pictures with us! My other friend and her family is in NYC and is having a great time! She also shared alot of beautiful pictures with us! Must be that time of the year when I really ought to be thinking about where to go on our next vacation.. whenever that may be. I'll be sure to share when I decide where and when, okay?

Not sure what's on the agenda for today.. I've been really taking it easy all week since my hubby has been on a week's vacation from his work. It's nice having him home, that's for sure! Not getting much done around here, but it will all still be here once he goes back to work on Monday..

Hopefully I will get my new mouse put on my computer this weekend. I don't know if I can just plug it in and take off with it, or if I have to go through alot of rigamoungroll with it on my computer first. Needless to say, I'm afraid to try for fear of messing something up so that I won't be able to use the computer at all, and we all know I don't want that! So, I'll just wait and have Daniel check it out for me.. hopefully this weekend! I miss not being able to share picture's with you..

~I've Missed You All Since I've Been Away From My Blog For A Week~

Good Monday Morning!
I hope this finds you all doing good! Last Thursday till Saturday evening I spent at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas with my son Jamie who lives in California. Jamie flew in for a few days to spend time with and attend his daughter's high school graduation, which was this past Saturday. My youngest son Daniel drove down to Texas Friday evening after he got out of work, so that he'd be able to spend some time with his brother and see Marie graduate and spend some time with her too.. It has been well over a year since they all had seen and spent time with each other. My husband wasn't able to go with us because of his job..and the fact that some other people had already put in for vacation for that particular week that he wanted to take off, so.... He really would have liked to been there with all of us too.. Sometimes that's just the way it goes I guess.. Our grandaughter looked absolutely beautiful in her cap and gown, standing there holding her High School diploma! It's always a good feeling when you see your child graduate from high school.. Jamie already has her all set up for starting her college career, which is great! Marie wants to get her degree in Forensic's.. which would be great!

Jamie had to be back at the airport real early Sunday morning, so we decided it'd be best to say our goodbye's Saturday evening.. It's just so hard! I hate goodbyes! I'm so hoping that we can make it out to California while our daughter is still working there with her traveling nursing job, that way we'd be able to spend some time with both our kids while being out there. Sure would be great if Daniel could take vacation time from his job around the same time we do, that way we all could fly out there together! That'd be wonderful! That'd make the first time the 3 grown kids and us have all been together at the exact same time in over 5 years! That's a long time!

I will share a few picture's that I took down in Texas once I am able to.. My mouse isn't working right at the moment for me to do so.. but I will as soon as I can!

I hope all the Father's had a real nice Father's Day yesterday!! We went to Church and then we went to Louie's for lunch with Daniel. Then my Hubby and I went to Border's and picked up a couple books and then we came home.. and relaxed. My hubby is on vacation starting today for a week, which is nice, but it sure would have been nicer if he could have been off to see our son Jamie too.. Leave it to Murphy, that's for sure!

Yesterday had periods of its low times for me, as my Father passed away 4 years ago and I really miss being able to call him and wish him a Happy Father's Day.. I never missed calling him up on Father's Day.. nor did I ever miss giving him a call to wish him a Happy Birthday on his birthday either.. These are a couple trying days that are hard for me to get through.. but my Heavenly Father always holds me close and helps me make it through them.. Our God truly is an awesome GOD!!

~ Alot Of Rain Here This Morning Sure Has Caused Alot Of Problems!~

Good Morning,
Here it is Monday already! I can't believe all the flooded areas around here that is caused by all the rain that we're getting now! I sure hope and pray that everyone is ok that have their vehicle's stuck in the flooding streets in some of our areas.. I don't think I've ever seen flooding like this since I've lived here in 14 years.. Unbelievable! The rain hasn't been nasty, just steady coming down! I just heard one of the newscaster's say that he's been here 15 years and hasn't seen anything like this before either..

Hope your weekend was good! I had a nice one. Saturday I did some rearranging of items that I have placed ontop of my china buffets, computer desk, and tv wall unit.. Seems like I definately got my exercise that day, as I was up and down my ladder sooo many times! I really do like the way they all look now.. It's amazing at how just little changes within one's room can make such a big difference. Change is good, in my book!

Sunday we went to Church, and ate at the Dong A Restaurant for lunch with Daniel, which was real nice! Daniel and I ate Bulgogi and my hubby had chicken teriyaki. Everything tasted real good, as usual!

~Friday Already???~

Hello!
I am really liking my new hair cut and hair color! My new friend that I met several weeks back at my weight watcher meeting's is a beautician, and I really liked her hair style and color, so I decided to make an appointment with her at the shop she works at to have my hair done. This is the first time that Sandy has done my hair and, I am sooo pleased with the way it turned out!! She did a really great job! I definately will be going back to her, for my future hair cuts and color from now on!

My goodness, here it is Friday once again! Seems like I just wrote that not too long ago here on my blog.. I'm not complaining at all! I've always been one who always looked forward to their weekends... as that's when I use to go dancing during my teenage years on Friday nights, and that's when my family and I would leave to go camping on Friday's until Sunday, and that's when I always look forward to having my hubby be home with me, providing his workplace didn't have him called out on a job somewhere..

~WHERE'S THE SUNSHINE?? IS IT AT YOUR HOUSE TODAY??~

Good Morning!
I think the blah overcast looking day outside is what's giving me a hard time getting motivated today! I got up about an hour and a half ago, ate my breakfast, and now I'm sitting here writing on my blog, but.. I don't have any real desire to do anything else today! NADA!! I need to see the SUNSHINE, but it's nowhere around my neighborhood to be found! I didn't think we were to have rain today, but maybe I misheard or misunderstood the weather lady when she was giving the weather forecast last evening.. Won't be the first time I misheard what she was saying..

I hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was good! Let's see, Friday, I went to HOBBY LOBBY and bought my colorful rooster that I had written you about on my blog the other day.. I'm so glad there were still a few of them there! I love the bright colors that are on it! I also found a Fleur De Lis candle holder, red/gold candle for inside the candle holder, an urn centerpiece and two children figurines reading their books. I just couldn't believe all of the wonderful sales they had going on! I always love it when I find a great sale on something, don't you?

Saturday, I went and got my nails done. I really like the way they do them, as I have them paint a flower on my ring fingers.. both on the left and on right hand.. This time I have a red 4 leaf flower with a blue center sparkle piece with black & silver accents.. I'll try to share a picture so you can see more of what I'm talking about. I have my nails done in the french white tip. I had wanted to also get my hair cut and colored too, but was too late for making an appointment, so, I will go and have that done sometime this week possibly..

Then, Saturday early evening, Dan and I played bowling on our Wii!! Guess what he did??? He bowled a *PERFECT 300* game!! I'll share a picture of his score with you all.. He said, now don't go sharing that on your blog.. but.. hee hee!! Don't go telling him now, ya hear!!

Sunday we went to Church and then ate at Olive Garden, and then we stopped at Borders book store. Daniel had his one weekend a month duty on base this weekend and wasn't able to eat lunch with us after church. I'm glad he's able to the rest of the Sunday's! Means a bunch that's for sure!

~ FRIDAY, AND ANOTHER WEEKEND!~

I really think that the days go Monday and Friday.. Just doesn't seem like there are any in between days.. The days are just zooming by! Do you feel like this is how your days are going for you too?

I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday, and they are having some really fantastic buys going on! Alot of items are half off or even 60% off! Can't beat that! I came across a beautiful colorful rooster that was originally $59.99 and it was now only $20! Oh my, I might have to go back down there today and purchase him! If I do happen to get him, I'll share a picture with you all! He really is pretty and very colorful..

I did find a real pretty medallion print picture for on my livingroom wall.. It's regular price was $49 and I got it for $17! I've been wanting something different to put on my one wall in there, but just didn't come across anything I really liked, till yesterday.. We have a medallion print that is woven in the center of our area rug underneath our coffee table in the living room too!

Not sure what we're doing this weekend.. Have a great weekend!!

~12 GORGEOUS PINK ROSES FROM MY HUBBY!~

Good Morning,

Aren't my Pink Roses absolutely gorgeous!! Dan is so wonderful when it comes to surprising me with flowers, and... for no particular reason... just because he wanted to! He always did this even when we were dating, almost 28 years ago.. He knows how much I love my flowers, and especially my ROSES! Thank you so much again Hubby!! They are gorgeous!! Oh, how I wish they'd last forever, as they are just that beautiful!!

I have been so very blessed by being given such a loving, caring, and thoughtful husband!


I guess it can't decide as to whether we'll have rain today, or sunshine! There was a little thunder out a little while ago, but.. that's all she wrote so far anyhow! I think northeast of us has been getting alot of the rain so far this morning... The sun is shining here so nice right now!

~JUST SOMETHING ABOUT AN ALL BLACK SHINY VEHICLE THAT CATCHES MY EYE!!~

Good Morning..
Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Holiday weekend. We had a nice one.

Just thought I'd share with you today some real nice looking vehicles with you this morning that my Hubby and I have come across while on our Saturday or Sunday drives.. I almost got ran over this past weekend when I was taking the picture of the black mustang.. Not really, but the man who was sitting in his white truck facing me with his chin laid on his folded hands that were on his steering wheel waiting for me to be done standing in the middle of the parking lot taking my picture of this gorgeous car.. He smiled & waved when I finally noticed him waiting on me to get out of his way.. What can I say?? When I come across something that I think is beautiful, I've just got to get a picture of it, no matter what it entails! My daughter, especially can vouch for me on that, probably more times than anyone can. While she & I have been traveling together, I've been known to sit in the front passenger seat holding the steering wheel for her, while Michele takes a picture of something gorgeous out from the drivers side window for ~ME~... I know, that's not a real good thing to do.. but.. I just got to have that beautiful picture!! We're always real careful when we do that too!

~HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY~

Good Morning!
Here it is Friday already! This has been a real fast week for me! In all reality, they all seem to be anymore! ;)

Do you have any plans for over Memorial Day weekend? Years ago we always planned a trip to go camping.. Gosh, that almost seems like forever ago! Guess it has been close to 14 years ago come to think about it..as the last time we went camping was with our son Jamie, at Lake Thunderbird. We had a real good time!
I always loved and looked forward to going camping! I found myself being able to relax and breathe in the fresh air and listen to all the wonderful noises that the camping ground areas bring.. like kid's laughing and playing their games, music, singing, crackling campfires, people walking by and saying hi! I also enjoyed seeing all the lanterns lit in the evenings too at the different campsites throughout...

Dan and I never did much camping together, mainly because of his work, it was and still is so hard to make any kind of plans to go or do anything really.. that is, unless he's on his vacation. Then we'd stay in motels to whereever we were vacationing to.. We never thought about renting a motorhome or camper.. till just now! Hmmm... might have to check into it sometime soon!!

~GOING GARAGE & YARD SAILING TODAY!~

Good Morning!
Gosh, I only have 35 more minutes able to say that! This morning has certainly flown by! I've spent time this morning at different websites on my PC just reminiscing, and thinking back (sp)... I really like and find myself doing this every now and then! Recapturing and recalling one's memories are soo wonderful!

Today I am planning on going out and seeing how many garage and yard sales I can find! I haven't stopped at any yet this season and there sure has been quite a few of them going on around these parts! I'm hoping to find some pretty china dishes mainly.. I might go to the Thrift and Goodwill stores today too, if I have time left in my day to do so..

~SIGHTSEEING ON OUR SATURDAY DRIVE~

Good Morning!
I hope you all had a good weekend! Ours was great! It just went by too fast, like it always does! Hard to believe that it's Monday already!

Saturday, Dan and I went on a long ride and came upon some buffalo and their babies out grazing.. When my hubby got home from work Friday, he mentioned about seeing some Buffalo and their babies and how cute they were and said it'd be nice for us to take a ride to show them to me. So, that's what we decided to do..and I'm so glad we did! I only wish I could have got a closer picture of the little one's! They were so cute to see! I've never seen any buffalo so little! We also came across some Texas Longhorns out grazing too! Some of their racks were real awesome!!

We ate lunch at our favorite Catfish restaurant in Golsby... called Libby's.. Soo good!! Definately give them a try if you're ever out that way!

Then Sunday, we went to Church, out to Olive Garden for lunch and then hubby stopped at the Ace Hardware store to pick up some items. I found me the prettiest flower arrangement! I want to repot it into my daughter's wood barrel so it'll have plenty of room to spread and grow.. I love when two or three plants are planted together inside a planter.. They look so attractive!

Today, I'm not exactly sure what's on my agenda.. I know for sure that I want to change our bedding, exercise as much as I can along with my 30 day Shred with Julian DVD, and who knows what else I'll get done today.. Doing that much will probably poop this lady out in no time flat!!

I am soo excited, as today is when our son Daniel gets home from the state of Washington!! He's been on his 2 week Air Force duty tour, that is done once a year with the USAF.. He says he's ready to come home too!! The weather has been wet and or rainy out that way.. especially these past few days.. He's ready for some of our sunshine!! Can't wait to see him!!

SEVERE WEATHER HEADING OUR WAY...AGAIN...

Good Morning!
Oh my goodness, the weathermen are calling for severe weather for our state, parts of Texas and Arkansas today! I guess there has been some tornado's that have already gone through our state today... I pray that no one was hurt.. We've had a tad bit of rain at my home this morning, but nothing major. Enough to bring Shelba and Zoe inside.. Needless to say, they are real happy bout that!!

I heard on the news that it could really get bad out around here between 2pm thru 10pm..

I pray that everyone stays safe during these storms...

~ABSOLUTELY LOVE TAKING SUNDAY DRIVES~

Good Morning!
My Hubby and I went on a Sunday drive and when going this certain way, we always drive by this gorgeous home! It always catches my eye! I would LOVE to see the inside and see how it's all decorated! I just know it would look absolutely stunning! I love everything about this home, or at least all that my eyes can take in from the outside of it! It's just plain gorgeous! I have come across many, many homes that I just fall in love with while taking our Sunday drives! Or even.. while traveling around to different cities and states with my kids and hubby too!! I find myself just absolutely loving everything that my eyes behold!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a good one.. I went shopping Saturday and bought some gorgeous dishes from ~WalMart!~ I had been in there shopping earlier during the week, and came across them, but told myself that I had more sets of dishes than I knew what to do with! But... come Saturday, I mentioned to my hubby about these white gorgeous dishes that I fell in love with but didn't buy and he said well, let's go get them! I said.. All Rightie!! So, to make a short story even shorter, we went to WalMart's and bought them! I really love them! They are soo pretty!

My taste and style has definately taken a change.. I have become a great fan of WHITE!! White furniture, white walls.. white china, white bedding items, etc..! One can decorate wonderfully in all their rooms with accent colors while having white as their main backdrop, if they'd like! I find it absolutely gorgeous looking! I love the white on white used in alot of beautiful decor too! Soo beautiful! I love having the muted greens paired up with whites, and blues paired along with whites, and black with white and red with white.. Oh my goodness, they all look sooo very stunning!! I have always been one who has liked the Country Cottage French Victorian decor! (Hopefully there is such a thing as such!) I love lace, and roses and beautiful flowers, wild and otherwise, and all the lovelies in decorating that are included with all of these items!

This is simply a day to salute sharply to all of the men and women in all branches of the service who protect our country and you. They can be called upon at a moment's notice to perform a risky and perilous mission for freedom and country. They train diligently both physically and mentally so they will be prepared to prevail in any mission they face.

Just how did it all begin? Well, each branch of the military had their own day of celebration. But, on August 31, 1949 then Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of Armed Forces Day. President Harry Truman also announced the holiday in a presidential proclamation on February 20, 1950. All branches of the military were asked to celebrate on this day and they complied on the first Armed Forces Day which was held the following year on May 20, 1950.

~MY NEW BIRD DISPLAY~

Good Morning!
Where's the sun?? The wind is blowing a bit outside, and there's no sunshine out there to be found! I know, cause I've searched for it! I sure hope we don't get any rain storms today.. I know we can always use the rain, but... I'd so much rather have the sunshine! Doesn't look like that'll be happening today!

I've been working on rearranging some items throughout my home.. Oh my goodness, what a job! I'm nowhere near done yet! I want to take my items out of my two china cabinets and do some rearranging in them, starting today.. One is in my livingroom and the other one is in my diningroom. I get tired of seeing things the exact same way for any length of time. I love seeing change! I sure wish I was able to lift and move heavy items, as if I could, I'd be rearranging my livingroom furniture, but since I can't just yet, I guess rearranging my cabinets will have to do..

~LIVING IN TORNADO ALLEY~

Good Morning Everyone!
It is scary living here in tornado alley! I'm still not used to it! My son didn't tell us before we moved here that this state was prone to having tornado's. I didn't know it was called Tornado Alley! Not till we moved here in 1996 did I find out about the tornado's that they get. Our son Jamie just told me.. "Mom, they take their rainy weather very serious around here.." I didn't know what he meant by that till our first heavy rain storm here, and the weathermen were on the tv, looking to be all nervous and excited about the heavy rain and storms.. I'm from Pa. and we get rain, hail and heavy storms there, but they normally didn't scare me.. but, I've got to say, that since living here, I've learned to glue my eyes and ears to the tv/radio when the weathermen talk about storms and tornado's in and around our surrounding areas.. I know now why they take it ever so serious! So does this lady nowadays too when storms are in these areas!!

We were right smack in the May 3, 1999 tornado when it hit the Westmoore High School.. I'll write more about that tornado on my blog at another time.. I just don't have enough time to write all about it now..

I just wanted to let everyone know that my family and I are safe and sound from the tornado's and horiffic storms that went through our city and surrounding cities yesterday. Our electricity was off for about an hour to an hour an a half or so.. My heart goes out to all who have lost their homes and businesses, and to the families who lost love one's to this storm, and to everyone who were hurt due to this storm also. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are for each and everyone of them.

My hubby and I could just look up at the sky and saw how the swirling of the clouds were going and how dark they were getting.. Our tornado sirens went off, and we knew that was everyone's warning to get inside their tornado shelters, (or that certain place in one's home that one goes when the tornado sirens go off) which ours is located inside our garage.. I am so very thankful that we have one! That was one gem that both my husband and I both agreed on, that we absolutely wanted to have in our new home when it was being built, back in 2002. Each year we are so thankful to have it, that's for sure, and we highly recommend it to everyone, and for them to have some kind of storm shelter built as such. We've had several of our family, friends and neighbors share it with us many times too over the years we've lived here. I always feel very safe while waiting in there..till the tornado's and storms pass..

I've got some errands to run today.. Not sure if I'm going to weight watcher's today or tomorrow. I'll have to wait and see I guess. Right at this very moment, I really don't feel up to doing too much of anything. My new med's that I'm now taking, kind of make me feel a tad bit more tired than usual! But, like I tell the Dr's when they ask me if I feel more tired than I usually do, I just tell them that I'm always tired! I've been like that, which seems like forever! My kids can all vouch for me on that one! I wake up tired! Hopefully I'm not the only one who wakes up feeling like that! It's not too often that I wake up feeling REFRESHED! I know that I'm missing out on great sleep, that's for sure, as those few times over all these years when I did wake up feeling refreshed, it was absolutely wonderful!! It definately made me quite aware of the restful sleep that I'm NOT getting every night. I am missing out on great sleep, no doubt about it!! I just don't know what to do to fix it, so that I could have restful sleep every night! That sure would be wonderful!!

SOME OF MY PRETTIES I FOUND AT GW!!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a real nice Mother's Day yesterday! I know I did! My daughter Michele got her dad and me a 4 piece luggage set for my Mother's Day present and for her dad's Birthday! We love it!! It has the handles and wheels which will be so much easier for us to maneuver when traveling from the airport to the car and vice versa! Our old set was so heavy for us or the kids to carry around, as it doesn't have the handle and wheels to wheel it around. This new set will make it sooo much easier!! Thanks so much again Michele!! We'll definately be putting them to good use, that's for sure!!

Our son Jamie called us from California to wish me a Happy Mother's Day and to say Happy Birthday to his dad! It means so much when our kids call us, and especially when they call on these special days! Thanks so much Jamie!!

Daniel took his Dad and me out to eat both Saturday and Sunday for my Mother's Day present and for his dad's birthday present from him! He definately knows how much his dad and I enjoy eating out at our favorite restaurants! Thanks so much Daniel!!

You all are the best kids that any Mom and Dad would be so very proud of, and that, your Dad and I are of each one of you!! We love you all so much and we have been so very blessed indeeed!!


I found these pretties yesterday when my Hubby and I stopped at the GW store and the Thrift store... I just couldn't resist getting all of them!! I am finding myself liking pure white items more and more each day!! Just something about white!! I'm sure alot of you might feel the same about white being used in your decorating too!!

~MY REALLY NEAT SURPRISE!!~

Good Thursday Morning!
Another gogeous day here again! I love it! I would love to live some place where the weather stays like this all year round! That would be so wonderful!! I don't think I'd ever tire of it, that's for sure!

My Hubby surprised me yesterday by getting me my White Wicker furniture for on our front porch! I am sooo excited!! I've been wanting a set like this one for a real long time and I am so tickled that I now have one!! It is very pretty!! I really like the design and fabric of the cushions!

I picked up a couple of neat looking hanging flower baskets for along either side of my porch ceiling rails yesterday.. I hope they hang in there and do well..

~GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING!~

Good Morning! I wanted to share these couple pictures of my flowers with you! They are really pretty! The newest flowers are called Rosey Cheeks Dianthus.. They are to be pretty and fragrant, which I love!

I was so excited to read that I won Debra's Spice Scent Tart giveaway on her Prairie Prim blog.. I can't wait to get them to be able to smell them!! I just know they are going to smell wonderful!!

Not real sure what I'm doing today.. Here it is almost 11:30am, and I'm still in my jammies! I have some days like this one, where I just take my time getting showered and dressed.. especially when I have no particular plans made for my day..

It's suppose to be another nice day here today, which is great! Our high is to get to 80* I'm pretty sure that's what the weatherman said this morning.. I can handle that!

~GOOD MONDAY MORNING!~

Hello! We had a real nice weekend, and I sure hope that you all did too!

My Hubby and I did a little work around the house Saturday, played a bowling game on our Wii and we went to Braum's and got us a ~small~ ice cream yogurt.. Sooo good!

Yesterday, we went to church, then my Hubby and I went out to lunch at Olive Garden..(Daniel had his Air Force duty weekend this past weekend and wasn't able to go out to lunch with us.) Everything was so delish! I had their Pasta Primavera.. My Hubby had their new dish of steak and pasta.. He said it was real good too! Then we went for a long ride.. I enjoy so much going for Sunday drives... A couple homes on the North Side caught my eye because of the huge Lion Statues they had along the sides of their driveways! I have always loved lion statues! Someday I hope to have a pair of my own on either side of our driveway! Then we came home and played a game of bowling on our Wii...

I found out over the weekend that I'm going to have to take exercise at a tad bit slower pace and not go overdoing with whatever in the line of exercise that I choose to do, whether it'd be playing games on the Wii or doing my housework. My Cardologist said that I should walk for about a half an hour per day..which is good exercise for me!
Being that I have been on slow mode for the past 3-4 weeks, I'm just going to have to start doing things out slow and then just work my way up to doing things at my normal speed again.. I just am not able to jump right back into where I had left off before having my heart catherization, I found out! I've got to work my heart rate up, but not up to speeding as I don't want to overdo it, that's for sure! Not yet anyway!! I have a whole bunch of things lined up that I want to get done, both on the inside and outside of my home! So, I hope I can get back into total action real soon!

Today is laundry day! WooHoo!! Oh well, we need to have clean clothes, right??

~ALL RIGHTIE!!~ LET THE WII GAMES BEGIN!!

Good Morning!
I am sooo excited about being able to play our Wii games again! It's been well over 3 weeks since I last played.. My husband has been practicing all the games on it though, and boy, do I have alot of catching up to do!!

I went to my family Dr. Wednesday, and he said that I'm doing real good! I saw my Cardiologist Dr. yesterday, and he also said that I'm doing real good. He wants to see me in a month. Both he and my family Dr. are going to help me get my cholorestrol down.. I'm on med's that hopefully will help with doing just that! It's not that it's real high, but they'd like it to be around 70 instead of the 85 of where it's at now.. They both said for me to get a half hour a day exercise in per day, like walking, playing our Wii, etc.., and to carefully watch my diet, and to eat lots of fruits and veggies.. which, I already do, being on weight watcher's and all.. and to stay away from greasy foods.. which I've not been real careful about doing lately.. I do like having french fries every once in awhile.. But, I will try to pay more attention to that now..

~MY Goodness, Here It Is Tuesday Already!~

Good Morning!
Gosh, here I was thinking that I had a few more days yet to go before I had to think about going to get weighed in, but lo and behold, the day has arrived! I'm sooo not ready to get weighed! I've not been to weight watcher's for a couple weeks now because of dr. visits, hospital visits, etc.. and, I think, NO, I KNOW that I've gained a couple more pounds! I keep asking myself, will I ever make it back down to my goal weight?? Guess I've got to try a tad bit harder at doing so!! I've not been so disciplined with myself lately, and it really shows, that's for sure!

It is a beautiful sun shiny day out today, which makes me very happy! I love to look out my windows and see such a beautiful day waiting for all to enjoy!

I have been really enjoying my virtual vacation trip with Colleen from designing dna! Today, Corryanne hosted our trip and we went to London! Absolutely beautiful! They have a wonderful restaurant there called Church Hill Arms and Corryanne said that they serve delish Thai food! Then, Corryanne said that there's also a place called Gordon's Wine Bar which, to me, sounds like a neat place to go and taste some of their great wines! I enjoyed going to the different wineries and tasting their wines while visiting with my son out in California.. We're going to have to get together again here soon and do that again!

~BEAUTIFUL FLOWER GLASS CANDLE HOLDERS~

Good Morning!
I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a real nice one! My Hubby got most all of his yard work done over the weekend, and Daniel got his car all spiffy and shined both on the inside and out and I found me some gorgeous candle holders at Bed, Bath & Beyond! Well really, my hubby was with me when I found these! I just couldn't resist them, as I thought they were sooo very pretty! Now, for me to find the perfect place in my home to display them... I'll share with you all once I find that perfect place!

I have felt like myself since having my heart cathe done.. but, I'm still not overdoing myself by any means! I'm waiting for my Dr. to give me the okay to let all loose!! There are sooo many things I'd like to get done and accomplished on the inside & outside of our home! I go to my Dr. this Thursday to see how all is going. I was there for my OV this past Thursday, but my Dr. got called out on an emergency, so... had to make another appointment for me.. That's okay. I just hope the person that was having the emergency is doing okay..

MY HEART AND ROSE TATTOO AND MY THREE BUTTERFLIE'S TATTOO TOO!

Hello!
Annie from The House That Jade Built is thinking about what kind of tattoo she'd like to have.. I thought I'd share a couple tattoo's that I have.. I have received many compliments on them.. They aren't real large..as my butterflies are about a 3/4 inch square, and my heart and rose is a little over 2 inches long.. Someday I'd like to get another one that is a rose bouquet that would have all 4 of my kids names incorporated within the stems of the roses or something on that line... I'm not sure where I'd want that one. Possibly on my left front shoulder.. That way I'd be able to see it too! I received my first tattoo ( the rose and heart one) when I turned 60 as a Birthday present from my youngest son Daniel!

I AM SO EXCITED, SEEING MY ROSES COMING ALONG SO NICELY!

Hi Everyone!
I just had to share this picture of one of my rose bushes that is out in our front yard! This one has the pink & red roses on it! I always get excited when I see my roses come back! I wish I could see and have them in my yard all year round! Maybe I should move to....Florida??

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday! I was to have my Dr's appointment today at 1:15pm with my heart Dr. who performed my heart catherization, and he was ready to come into my room, when he got an emergency call and had to leave his office...so, I'm rescheduled for on April 29th to see him. I really think that I'm doing great! I feel great! So anyhow, we shall see what he has to say when I see him next Thursday..

This *virtual vacation* that I'm on is such fun!! We went to *Paris, France today!! I've been there for real and it is beautiful! I visited there back in 1970.. My daughter Michele saw Paris too, but she was too little to remember anything about it nowadays, as she was only 3- 3 1/2 years old at the time..

Wonder where we're going tomorrow on our virtual vacation???

I'M ON A BLOG *VACATION* WITH COLLEEN FROM DESIGNING DNA!!

Good Morning!
You all have got to check Colleen's blog out! Oh my goodness how wonderful it is!! I have her *vacation* ticket on my side bar here on my blog! Grab one for yourselves too! Do come and check it out! The scenery is absolutely gorgeous!! We've visited Netherlands, Italy, and Canada so far! This trip started Monday, April 19th.. Everything is sooo very breathtaking and sooo very beautiful!! Thank you so very much Colleen!!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far! Gosh, here it is humpday already! Where does the time go??

I am feeling and breathing sooo much better! I still have some tired feeling times during the day, but other than that, I feel great! I think they say that this tired feeling can go on for two to four weeks or so..after having the heart catherization done.. Depends on the person, I mostly think. I did our laundry yesterday and towards the last couple loads, I was really ready to call it a day!

There have been several times when I just wanted to jump right in there and go gun ho with doing all my housework cleaning and all..and then, I remember my DR. telling me to take it easy for awhile yet, and that's when I go back into my easy mode! and....find myself back on my BLOG, reading all my favorite Blogging Friends BLOGS!! YES!!!

I have my DR's appointment tomorrow to see how I'm doing, and make sure I'm healing the way I ought. I hope he says that I can get back to my household duties.. I see so much that I'd like to get done.. My hubby has been a real big help to me though. He's ran the sweeper for me, cleaned two bathrooms, changed bedding on our bed, cooked a few meals, stayed with me at home here for the past couple weeks, then him going back to work this past Monday.. Thanks so much for everything Hubby!!

It's a gorgeous, sun shiny, but windy day out today! Guess we are to have rain later on this evening and for the next couple of days.. Not looking forward to that! I guess we do need rain to help with our yards, gardens, etc. though. I just hope the rain doesn't bring tornado's along with it... being we are now in the tornado season...

I Need Some Ideas On What To Put Inside My Glass Cloche..

I found a glass cloche and don't have a clue as how to decorate it on the inside.. It looks to be the size of one that is a cheese cloche.. and the lid isn't very tall on it. Seems like anything I've thought of putting inside has been too big. I'd love it if you'd share your neat decorating ideas for it with me! Thanks!!

REMEMBERING 15 YEARS AGO TODAY...

Each year on this 19th day of April, I reflect to when the Oklahoma City Bombing took place... I was living in Kane, Pennsylvania at the time this happened.

My son Jamie, his wife and our granddaughter were living here, in Oklahoma City. I was at home just channel surfing, when I came across a bunch of commotion on the tv showing smoke, ruined cars, people lining the street all covered with blood.. and when they mentioned this horiffic explosion was happening in Oklahoma City, my heart started racing.. wondering if my son and his family were all okay. Jamie and Candy just moved into their new home, and I had no idea where it was located, or if it was close to where this bombing had taken place.. My daughter in law worked for the Ryder truck company, which wasn't too far from where the Murrah building was. My son worked for Putnam City School Bus transportation and was on his way downtown with a bus load of young children that were going on their school class field trip, when bus transportation called and told Jamie and the other school bus drivers to head back to the bus barn as a bomb had gone off at the Murrah Building. Jamie was only blocks away from where this bombing took place, and says that he felt some of the impact of the bomb when it exploded.. My daughter in law also felt some of the impact of the bomb where she worked.. The impact of the bomb could be felt quite a ways away from the Murrah Building.

I did get ahold of Candy on the telephone at her workplace, and she said that she, Jamie and Marie were all okay.. I was so releaved to hear that!!

I thank the Lord over and over again for keeping my love one's safe and all of the children safe that were on the several school buses on their way to their class field trip downtown that day.

My heart still breaks, just as hard as it did that day and I still shed tears when I think about all the beautiful lives that were lost that morning.. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers goes out to all of the loss one's family, friends, and love one's... still.... always & forever..

"Thank You" to all of our Military Soldiers for our Freedom here in the U.S.A.!! Thank You so much to each one of them and also to their families!! God Bless Them All!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL!!!

Good Morning!!

I'm dedicating my blogging post today to our youngest son, Daniel James!!

Today is his birthday!! Seems like he should still be little, as all our grown children do.. You all know what I'm saying! Their growing years go by so very fast!! Before you know, you're an empty nester and you sit wondering where all those years went!! I do this with each one of our grown children.. as I'm sure you all have experienced doing this same thing too.

As I sit here pondering over the years that have gone by, I recall how it came about that we told your brother Jamie that WE were pregnant! Your dad and I were shopping at Wal Mart's and just so happened to linger into the maternity section, and Jamie says... why are we looking in here?? Then, it hit him that WE were going to have a baby!! Talk about being excited!! He was jumping up and down all over the place, saying, "Mom's having a baby"!!
I can still hear his voice echoing that phrase!! Michele was very excited too when we told her that WE were having a new baby!!

When the day came for you to be born, Jamie had to wait outside in the waiting room while dad was in the room with me. Your brother must have worn a spot off the carpet walking the floor, waiting for you to be born. After you were born, they had the little blue hat on your head and they pushed the bed over by the window where one could peek into the room, and he got to see both his Mom and new baby brother! Such a grin he had on his face knowing he had a baby brother!! I told Jamie that if we had a boy, we'd name his middle name after Jamie, and if we had a girl, her name would be Danielle, after Michele...
Michele wasn't able to be with us at this time, as she was staying with her real father and his wife and finishing up her senior year at school... How very bad she wanted to be with us at this time though!! She was in Ohio seeing you, Jamie, Dad & I just days after you were born! She was so tickled and loved you right from the very first time she saw you too!!

Gosh, then the years came and went by so quickly, and now, here we are, in 2010, your 25th birthday!!

We love you Daniel James and wish you the very Happiest Birthday yet!!!

ANSWERED PRAYERS!!

Good Morning~
Thank you all so very much for all your kind thoughts and prayers! You all helped me get through having my heart catherization procedure done with flying colors! I was awed at how unnervous I really was during the whole procedure! My hubby said that he could see a calmness that I had about me before hand and during and after the cath procedure too...

Here's my story...

My hubby and I left to go to the Heart Hospital at 6:15am, as I was scheduled to be there by 7am. On our way there, we passed by a church that had an outside sign that said, ~GOD IS WAITING~. I thought to myself, I just know that is a sign to me from God letting me know that all was definately going to be alright and that I was in HIS most perfect hands! I was totally calm about my car ride to the hospital, the prepping work before the catherization, and the waiting time for me to go into the surgery room. I just couldn't believe that I wasn't totally scared on everything that was being done to me.. I am one who tries their best not to be afraid, or tries not to show it to anyone, but, there are those times when nothing seems to work!

When I was getting admitted to the hospital, a real good friend and RN colleague of my daughter's was there to be with me during this time. Nesse is such a thoughtful and caring lady and has such a beautiful loving heart! She said she wanted to be there with me before and after my procedure since she knew that Michele wasn't able to.. being Michele's doing her traveling nursing job in California now. Thank you sooo much Nesse for being there with me!! Nesse helped me by letting me know what to expect and all, since she's had this done also. She told me they didn't have to put any stints in her's and I laid there on my bed and thought to myself, that would be so wonderful if I didn't have to have any put in either! And then.... after my procedure was over and done with.... Thank You Lord Jesus for prayers answered!!

My catherization was scheduled for 9am, and I was back out by 10am. My Dr. said that I have 70% blockage on my right coronary, and 15% blockage on my left anterial desending ventricle... He said that he wasn't going to put any stints in and that he felt that it could be fixed with med's at this point. So, off to my hopsital room we went. I then was allowed to have something to eat.. Needless to say.. I was soooo famished!! The nurses had me keep my right leg real still for awhile and then after a couple hours, they had me walk around the nurses station and then I was allowed to go home! I was so happy! Needless to say, so was my hubby!

I have been taking it easy, like they recommended for these past two days that I've been home. I feel soo much better since having this catherizatiion done. The tightness in my chest has gone... It's like one having a new lease in life! A real wake up call for me!

I just want you all to know how very thankful I am for each one of you, and for all your loving, caring hearts and beautiful prayers that you said for me, before, during and after my procedure! Thank you all so very much!! You all are the best!!

I really do feel a bunch better about having my heart catherization done tomorrow morning. I have given my worries about having this done over to our Lord and he has in return, given me, HIS Embracing Peace! I really am feeling better about having this heart catherization done on Tuesday the 13th.. I just feel such a calmness about me right now.. I know it's from all your kind thoughts and prayers! I guess it was just not knowing how it would go and the outcome of it all that had me real nervous. I just feel now, that all will be and go okay..

Our Puppy Dogs.. Shelba & Zoe..

I think they are in the bunch of pets labeled, Some Of The Cutest! Shelba is our (much overweight) Chocolate lab and Zoe is our German Shepard mix.. They are really pretty good puppy dogs! Spoiled like crazy by their Daddy, but still good just the same! I give them my loving nudge pet on the top of their heads, and give them their snackers when Dad isn't home to do so, but Dad's really the main spoiler of them..

I hope everyone is having a good day.. My day started out today at my stress test dr's office for my 10am office visit. He went over my stress test, and then I got an EKG done, and he has me down for having my heart catherization to be done on April 13th. I've got to be at the heart hospital at 7am that day.. I'm kinda scared, since I don't really know what all to expect. I don't know if I'll be needing stents put in, or have bypass surgery, or whatever else done. I just pray that everything goes fine.. He told me today that I can't play any of our Wii games or mop floors, or do anything strenuous..like lifting, mowing yard.. till I see him on Tuesday.. WOW.. that makes me feel like I'm a walking time bomb ready to go off any minute.. Just scary.. as I think I really feel fine, but he says that the lower part of my heart isn't pumping the way it ought to be.. So.. I have no other choice really, if I want my heart to work the way it should, but to have this catherization done and just go from there.. I'll keep you all posted.. It's just that so many things and questions go through my mind.. It's probably not all that bad to have done, but not knowing makes it sort of scary..

Have any of you had this heart catherization procedure done?

My daughter, who's an RN, says that it isn't too bad really.. and that I should do and be fine. I pray I am and that everything goes good.

PULMONARY BREATHING TEST DONE TODAY!

Hello!
I had my breathing test done today at 2pm.. It wasn't anywhere as scary as I had thought it was going to be,thank goodness!! I had pictured in my mind that I was going to be in alot of pain and probably passing out while the test was being done! The man who did the test made me feel real comfortable throughout the whole test and was very good. The complete testing only took about 35 minutes from beginning to end, which wasn't bad at all! After we were all done, he said that from what he reads on the printout sheets, I fall right in the normal ranges! He says that a Dr. will also read them and send those results to my dr. So, I'm hoping he says the same as what the guy who did the test said to me. That would be wonderful! My Hubby was able to be in the same room where the test was being done on me, which also helped with me not being quite as nervous!

This Thursday morning I go and talk with the Dr. who went over my stress test results and he will explain them to me.. Then, I will find out when I will be making my appointment to have a catheter put in to check my heart and make sure everything is working right, but if need be, he would put stents in if I need to have them.. I am not, to say the least, looking forward to having that done, but, Dr. says I've got to.. so.. I've got to do what I've got to do I guess..

I didn't go to my Weight Watcher's meeting today.. I will go next Tuesday. Hopefully if I had a weight loss this past week, it will still be there on their scales next week! ;)

MY TREES, FLOWERS AND GARDENS

Hello! Dan and I attended early morning services at our church on Easter Morning, then we met our youngest son, Daniel at Olive Garden for brunch.. Everything was real good! We had a nice time chatting with each other while eating some delishious food too!!

I shared with you all today, a picture I took of our Bradford Pear Tree that is in our front yard. I love all the beautiful white little blossoms that are on it now. Sooo very pretty! I'd love to see if I could have a pink or white dogwood tree planted in our yard somewhere this year.. I think they are so beautiful, as well as the beautiness of the Red Bud tree.. I wouldn't mind having one of them planted someplace in my yard either! This is the time of the year when I get so excited for when we plant some new flowers in our front yard. I'd like to get some more planted in our back yard this year too, for me to be able to sit back and enjoy! We shall see what all my hubby and I can come up with this year!

MET MY HUBBY HERE AT IHOP FOR BREAKFAST!

Good Morning! I want to first say ♥Thank You so much♥ for keeping me in your prayers.. I can feel them all working! I still feel nervous, but calm, if that makes any sense..

I went this morning and had 3 viles of blood drawn for lab work to be done on and then the results will be sent to my dr. She said that he should have them by tomorrow. Then afterwards, I talked with my hubby on our cell phones and we decided to meet at IHOP for breakfast... and I told him that sounded sooo good as I had to fast before having my blood drawn, and I was now totally famished! I know I ate over and beyond what I should have, but, that's okay.. I just combined my breakfast and lunch into one meal, known as Brunch!

Tomorrow I go to my dermatologist to see what's causing the area around my lower lip to be so dry and red.. I've had this, gosh since last Aug. I think, and it still hasn't gone away, and I've noticed that it's just recently been spreading, which isn't a real good thing! The cream my dr. prescribed, didn't begin to touch it, so he recommended a dermatologist for me to see.. So, hopefully I'll find something out about what it possibly is tomorrow!

I sure hope I'm not boring you all with all this dr. stuff, but needless to say, the stress of it all kinda weighs heavy on me.. I appreciate you all so much for stopping by and visiting me on my blog, and for all your kind and sweet comments that you leave and for keeping me in your prayers! I hear that we are to have some pretty stormy weather coming through here tomorrow... I can actually smell rain in the air and the blowing wind just seems like it's trying to blow something in.. I hope it doesn't get too nasty out to cause us to have tornado's! I don't like tornado season at all! I've been in one tornado that hit here back on May 3, 1999 and that one was more than enough excitement for this lady for sure! We all loss our cars at the High School that night, but it could have been so much worse, as we were at the Westmoore High School for the kids Jr. High awards night, when the F-5 tornado hit the High School, blowing the roof off the school auditorium in which we were all gathered inside. We all were in the stairwells to the right and left of the auditorium! Oh yes... sooo very scary!!

UPDATE OF MY DR'S APPOINTMENT THAT I HAD TODAY...

Hello... First of all I'd like to say Thank You so much for keeping me in your prayers today! That means so much to me! ♥You all are the best!♥

The news I got from my dr. today wasn't what I was hoping for, by any measure.. My blood pressure was on the high side. I don't even remember now what it was now. My dr. has put me on Metoprolol 50mg tablets and also I have Nitrolingual pump spray, just in case I have chest pains, and need to use it.. I will start my Met. medicine tomorrow morning, to take along with my Norvasc and baby aspirin.. He also said that I need to set up an appointment with the dr. who gave me my stress test, and have him put a catheter in and check my heart to see if there are any blockages, and if I need to have any stents put in..and if so, that they'd put them in right there. The stress test office is to give me or my dr. a call with a date and time for my appointment with him.. No calls from them today... as it's after 5pm now.

I need to also get some blood work done where I usually go to have it drawn.. My blood work, I'll be doing either tomorrow morning or Friday morning.. Probably the sooner, the better, I'd imagine. Then my dr. wants to see me in a couple weeks for another OV, to check and see how I'm doing.. He said my results on the stress test were, if # 1 was good and # 5 was bad, I did a #3.. Not what I had hoped to hear.. So anyhow, that's how my OV went today.. I really should check my BP once a week or so, just to have an idea on how it's doing. He didn't say this to me today, but I know from other dr visit's that he's mentioned me doing this.. but, I haven't done as good of a job as I should have..

It's just kind of scary since I know there have been heart problems that run in my familys history..

I then decided to go to Michael's Craft Store after my dr's appointment and picked me up some items that I just absolutely had to have.. We all know how that goes, I'm sure! I hadn't been shopping in there in ages! Then, I went and picked up my med's at Walgreens..

It's been a gorgeous day out, quite windy, but gorgeous out just the same!

My hubby called a little bit ago and said we can let someone else cook supper tonight for us.. I said All Rightie!! I always like it when someone else does the cooking!

I'd appreciate it so much, if you'd still keep me in your prayers.. I think I'm going to be fine really, but just in case something goes haywire, beknowns to me right now... Thank you so much!

DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT TODAY!

Good Morning!
Today at 11am I have an appointment with my doctor to go over my test resulsts of the two chest xrays and stress test that I've had done over the past week. I'm kinda/sorta nervous, but I really think that all the tests will come back normal. I'm praying to receive good news from him today anyhow, that's for sure! I'll be sure to let you know how it went..

TRUFFLES AND WEIGHT WATCHER'S DON'T GO TOGETHER TOO WELL..

and especially with me! I LOVE them and are really addicted to them! My Hubby thought he'd bring us home some Easter Candy that we both really like and... the rest is HISTORY! There's no throwing them away, nor giving them away, so, we try to limit ourselves to TWO pieces a night, which one truffle piece is two Weight Watcher points.. The one's we really like are the white chocolate and the milk chocolate ones... Sooo good, but, oh, so, not very weight watcher friendly! Dan bought the STRACCIATELLA ones(in the blue bag) this time and they have the white chocolate shell with chocolate pieces. They are good, but not as good as the milk chocolate ones that we love! I really do think that..after we are done with these truffles, that we had better leave them alone... for a while anyhow, since both Dan and I are wanting to shed some of these extra pounds we're carrying around, *Thanks* to our LOVE of CHOCOLATE Truffles!

I hope everyone had a real nice weekend and Monday! It's such a beautiful day outside today! I love waking up to the sunshine and gorgeous warm weather!

I have my Weight Watcher meeting today...and I pray that all those bowling games my Hubby and I played on our Wii game helped me whittle away any extra pounds I may have put on from eating all those delishious truffles! ;)

TODAY IS OUR SON JAMIE'S BIRTHDAY!!

I am dedicating my post today to our son Jamie, as it's his B Day!! Gosh, it seems like he should still be that little boy in the picture I shared! The years have really flown by, that's for sure! Seems like one minute he was little and then I blinked and then the next thing I know, he was all grown up!
Believe me parents of little ones, those little children that you hold in your arms and give those bear hugs to, grow up so very, very fast, right there before your eyes!

Jamie is our third child out of 4 children. He's made us proud in more ways than one, and continues to make us proud to this day! The picture of Jamie and me was taken almost a year ago when he rode in the Aids bikeathon from San Jose, Ca to Los Angeles, Ca. on his bicycle, with thousands of others. This was the second time he rode for the Aids bikeathon! I wasn't able to be there to cheer him in when he rode over the finished line the first time he rode in the bikeathon, but, I made sure that I was there to cheer him in on the second one he rode in!! I don't know who was more happier, him or me when it came to him riding in over that finish line!! Might be a real toss up!!

We love you Jamie and we wish you a Very Happy Birthday!! Enjoy your day!!

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING EVERYONE!

I hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend so far! I know I feel a whole bunch better than I did a few days ago, since I was soo dreading having my stress test done and all! But, all is good till I hear otherwise! I really want to say ♥Thank You♥ a whole bunch to all of you who had me in your thoughts and prayers! That means ever so much to me! Thank you! I love you all!

I did manage to go to Hobby Lobby again yesterday after my Hubby and I had lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, called the Jin Wei Chinese restaurant. MMmmmm, soo good!! I felt really good after having my stress testing exercise done, and thought to myself that I'd just stop in at Hobby Lobby on my way home.. I had mentioned this metal bike wall hanging to my Hubby, and he said to go get it if I wanted, so, that's what I did! Like I said, I always find something I like whenever I go in there, that's why I try not to go shopping there real often, or else I'd definately run out of room in my home, trying to find a place for everything!

I really love the metal and woven basket watering can and matching basket! My Hubby said he really liked them too! I love collecting watering cans and woven baskets along with my collection of roosters, sunflowers, candles, etc..! I did notice that Hobby Lobby had lots and lots of beautiful rooster figurines, but I can honestly say that I just don't have anywhere that I can display them! Hmmmm, maybe I ought to see if my Hubby would build me a long retangle shelf to sit in between my back door and corner windows in my diningroom! That really would give me more space for some more pretty roosters to sit! How bout that!! I'd really love to have a nice sized sunporch instead, if I had the choice. I absolutely fell in love with Tammy's (www.countrygirlathome.blogspot.com) sunporch that she shared pictures of! It's beautiful! Tammy and Jason did a real gorgeous job!! They both really like it alot!

Not sure what's on our agenda for today yet. It is such a beautiful, sunshiny day out so far! I think we did decide last evening, that we might just dilly dally around the home for awhile and see what all we can get accomplished. There's yard work, our laundry, housework, etc..that needs done, and today might be the day for doing some of it, if not all of it, which is okay with me, as that gives me my free time during the week to just take it easy, which works out great for me too!

STRESS TEST IS NOW ALL DONE!!

Hello!
I am so glad that my stress test went wonderfully today! It was nowhere like I thought it would be. I had one about 5 years or so ago, and thought that I was not going to make it! This time they done a cardiolite portion of the stress test. They used Thallium with my test. I think the whole test only took an hour or so, which wasn't bad at all! I am so glad to have it behind me! I go to my family dr. on March 31st and he will give me, hopefully good news of how all the tests came out. I still have a breathing test that I have to have done on April 6th. Hopefully, that will come out okay for me too! I will be finding out here before too much longer!

I stopped at Hobby Lobby again today and found me some more items that I just couldn't live without! I'll tell you about them and show you them to you later on..

The sun doesn't know whether to stay out or go away! We are to have rain today, so.. but it just might change it's mind..

I'd like to go to Hobby Lobby today and check out what's new, as it's been a little while since I've been shopping in there. I've read some people's blogs where they have found alot of neat Easter items there. I can't believe that Easter Sunday is only like 10 days away! Where have I been?? I don't have anything out that is Easter Buny~ish! I'd better get on the ball or the ship will leave without me, as the old saying goes! If I do happen to go shopping, I'll share my pretties with you all, okay? That is if I find some, which I'm sure I will, as I always find something at Hobby Lobby that I absolutely fall in love with!

HAPPY "HUMP" DAY EVERYONE!

My goodness here it is Wednesday already! Where is the time going? I know why it's flying by so fast for me, it's because I have a stress test I've got to have done on Friday morning at 11:30! Oh, so not looking forward to having it done, as I had one done about 5 years or so ago done and thought I was going to die, right there on that reclined treadmill!!

Today was my day for doing some grocery shopping! Just what I really need, more food brought into our home, as my hubby and maybe even all our grown kids would say! But...there were a few items that I just had to have don't you just know! So, I went and got them and needless to say, a few more things fell right into my basket, besides those needed items too.. Funny how that always seems to happen! Any of you have that same thing happen to you too?

As for weight watcher's yesterday, I did gain one pound, but I'm right back on track with watching my points today! WHEW! Oh, I didn't buy anymore delicious truffles or ice cream today either, so that's got to be a very BIG PLUS!!

IT'S TUESDAY ONCE AGAIN!

Good Morning!
I have been sooo very BAD this week with my eating! I just know I've gained a few pounds since I weighed in last week! And to think that I actually had a weight loss last week! I get so mad at myself! I am soo addicted to the delishious milk chocolate truffles that absolutely melt in one's mouth! My hubby also bought some individual chocolate ice cream cups and of course I, well we both, had to have not only one but two of them almost every night! I can't lose weight eating these things! So... on to a start of a new weight watcher's week! I'm going to really be watching what I put into my mouth this week! I've got to really get serious as I want to get back down to my goal weight, which I know I can do, since I'm a Lifetime Member of Weight Watcher's.. So, back to disaplining myself and definately watching what is on that eating utensil of mine!! So green salads, veggies, fruits, soups, fish and chicken, here I come, with fork and spoon in hand!! (Only eating all the right portions though)... :)

It's a beautiful and gorgeous day outside today! I guess we are to get to around 72* or so.. I can sooo handle that temperature a whole lot better than 30 some degree weather, that's for sure! Hard to believe that it was wintertime here just a few days ago! I love this kind of weather a whole bunch better!

First Day Of Spring??

Good Morning!
Today is March 20th, 2010, and it is the first day of ~Spring~, or so that's what it says on my calendar, but, definately not outside! Yes, winter is back here in Oklahoma, once again! It is windy, blustery, and snowing out, and it's only 28* degrees! They are saying that it might get as nasty as it was this past Christmastime when we got all that ice & snow! I'm sure not looking forward to getting and having all those cold temperatures and ice & snow again! There were so many accidents and people getting stuck and all! Not a good thing, for sure! They are saying that tomorrow alot of churches around our area will be cancelled because of the snow and ice! I can't wait till I can write about all the nice and HOT weather that we're having instead of all the cold and snowy weather.. Oh well.. we all know that spring and summer weather will be here before we know it! But... Weather like this makes me want spring to really hurry and get here all the more sooner!!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! We are.... so far anyways! My Hubby hasn't got called out on a job yet, and that's always a big plus when the weekends are here!

Last evening, my Hubby and I played our Wii sport games! We had lots of fun, laughs, and pouty lower lip times too! We are so glad that we got a Wii, as it really is alot of fun! Makes us wish that we had got one a whole bunch sooner! We played it for close to 3 hours or so.. Sure does beat us watching TV, and also the fact that we can get alot of good exercise in now too!!

You all take care now, and I hope that the snow doesn't get real bad at your home too.. I've got to keep telling myself that spring is just right around the corner, right up until it actually gets here, which hopefully, won't be too much longer of a wait now for us!!

VEGETABLE BURRITOS

*Vegetable Burritos*

Ingredients
Fresh Tortillas, White or Whole Wheat
½ cup white onions, chopped
¼ cup fresh garlic, chopped fine or minced
1 medium Sweet Potato, peeled and chopped into half inch cubes
1 medium Poblano Pepper, chopped into small pieces
1 medium Tomato, chopped into small pieces
Oil, canola, olive or avocado, enough to coat bottom of pan
Salsa, 10-12 ounces of your favorite
¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 cup cheese, cheddar or jack
Salt & Pepper to Taste

Directions
While pan is heating, prepare vegetables. Add enough oil to coat the bottom of sauté pan. Cook onions until slightly soft (about 2-3 minutes).
Add sweet potato, poblano pepper, tomato and any other veggies you like. Add cilantro last and cook over medium heat until al dente (about 8 minutes).
Add salsa and continue heating. Season to taste. Spread out tortilla and add vegetables. Top with shredded cheese. Wrap and allow cheese to melt in a warm pan for a few minutes. Eat warm and enjoy.

*You can use any of your favorite vegetables and customize this recipe to your own family. Serves 4-6.

I just happened to come across this great tasting recipe today and thought that I'd share it with you all, as it sounds to be real delish!

I went to the Moore Hospital and had a couple chest Xray's done today. My dr. should have the results of them sometime next week. Then, I went grocery shopping.. and then came home..

The weatherman is calling for snow for us sometime over the weekend here.. Unbelieveable, since it's been such a gorgeous and warm day outside today. But, this is Oklahoma, and the weather is always changing..so they say!

Well, I made it through my office visit. My dr. says I have a light wheez and wants me to have a chest xray done tomorrow or sometime early next week. He also wants me to have a stress test done. It has been about 5 years since I had my last stress test done, so, guess I'm due! I'm so not looking forward to it though! I thought I was going to die the last time I had one done! Thank goodness I'm not quite as heavy as I was back then, so hopefully, that will be a plus for me! Then, he wants me to see a dermatologist.. Whew! My BP was 156 over 87, which is on the high side, but the nurse took my bp shortly after I got inside their door.. No waiting time for me today! I told her that I waited till the very last minute to get my shower and then leave for my OV.. as they are only a street away! Usually I have at least ten or fifteen minutes waiting time before they call my name, but, not today... Then my dr. wants to see me again in a couple of weeks.. So....

Then yesterday I went to my dentist to have my teeth cleaned, and they took xrays, and come to find out I have 3 crowned teeth that are absessed. I need to go to a endodontic associate to have him do the root canal through the crowns being that they are absessed so close to the nerves of each one of the teeth.. So.. wasn't real good news for me yesterday either..

I feel fine for the most part, but I can't even begin to argue with tests and xrays, that's for sure!

Getting old can sometimes be the PITS!! No Doubt About That In My Book!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

Good Morning!
This is a day that takes me back in my memories.. My
Step Mom's birthday is today. She would have been 72 years old. She passed away back in 1980 from cancer when she was only 42 years old, and mother of 4. Her name was Autumn Maxine. She was a fun loving lady, always smiling and always laughing, and was always there to help anyone who needed some help. My Dad and Mom were married for 25 years. One talks about the perfect married couple, well, I think they were the best! I can only recall them having one arguement the whole time I lived at home before I was married. They truly loved each other dearly. When she passed away, my father was so hurt, and so lost without her being there with him. It's like the end of his world came and the door was tightly closed shut. Dad did recover from Mom's passing, and did marry again.. I'm sure that is what my Mom would have wanted Dad to do. My father passed away May of 2006.

My memories today are really happy memories of both of my parents.. I just miss them both so much..and especially a whole bunch more even on days like today.. I know they both are with our Lord and that puts a smile on my face and I feel the warmth of their love forever in my heart.

New Veggie Steamer And...

Hi Everyone!
I've had a really good day! First of all, since it's Tuesday, as most of you probably already know from me mentioning on my blog, that I went to my Weight Watcher meeting this morning, and found out that I had a .2# loss!! Whoo Hoo!! How bout that! I was soo tickled, as I had thought for sure that I'd gain some weight while visiting my daughter Michele for the almost 3 weeks! Hey, all the walking that we did sight seeing, and the eating of delishious steamed veggie's, along with the other delishious food we had to eat along with the steamed veggie's, and our delishious meals when we ate out, and playing Michele's Wii games together was a real good thing in more ways than one!! Thank you Michele for keeping your Mom on track!! Now, I've got to stay on that right track being back home now too!

I loved the taste of Michele's steamed veggie's soo much, that I knew that I just had to have a food steamer here at home to use along with our meals too!!

Bulgogi Tastes Sooo Good, & Especially At Our Favorite Korean Restaurant.. Dong A!!

Good Afternoon!
What a really nice Sunday I've had so far! I went to Church this morning, and then my son Daniel and I went to lunch at the Dong A Restaurant! We had a real nice time, and the food was delishious, as always! My Hubby would have gone with us, but he had just got home from being on a long overnight job and was really too tired to go anywhere, but to bed, so Daniel and I went for lunch out together. My hubby said that he and I might go somewhere later for supper once he gets up! I said Oh Rightie!! Don't have to twist my arm much to have me agree to eat out whenever the chance comes along!!

NO EXCUSES NOW!!

Hello!
I just got back from Best Buy and buying my Hubby & I a Wii!! I have played Jamie's, Daniel's, and Michele's Wii systems and decided that Dan & I needed to have a Wii system too!! My Hubby & I need all the help we can find when it comes to us getting our exercise, and this will help us out a whole bunch!! I had so much fun playing all our kids games on their Wii's. I only played Daniel's about a half an hour or so, and I felt it on my thighs the next day! I used muscles that I hadn't used in years playing the tennis and bowling games! I can't believe that Michele and I played hers for over 5 hours when she first got hers! It was a bunch of fun, that's for sure!! Needless to say, Michele & I definately felt it working in our arms & legs the next day! That's a real good thing!!

I hope everyone's weekend is going good for them! I've had a real good one so far! I had lunch today at IHOP with Daniel and had a real nice time! Like I've mentioned many times before, I love to eat, and I also love being and visiting with each one our kids as often as I possibly can!!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jog!!

Good Friday Morning!
Well my friends, I made it back home Wednesday from spending almost 3 weeks with my daughter Michele and seeing and spending time with our son, Jamie for a couple of days while he was out in Phoenix! I had a really, really wonderful and fun time!! I got to see and go to so many neat places, and do alot of neat things and also got to try my hand at shooting a handgun at a shooting range there in Phoenix, which I've shared pictures of on my sidebar.. I didn't do too bad for being my first time shooting a gun! My daughter, both sons and husband have all been after me for sometime now to go to a shooting range with them and learn how to shoot a gun. I always shyed my way out of doing so.. Michele finally held my hand the whole way to the shooting range and got me to finally decide to do so, which, I'll never regret doing, that's for sure! I only wish now that I had gone to one sooner, but am glad that I have now and I am looking forward to when I can go again with my family. I think it is very important for everyone to know how to defend themselves, as one just never knows if and when that time might come that they'd have to do so.

My hubby picked me up from the Will Rogers airport on Wednesday and then we went out for supper at our favorite Chinese restaurant and then we came home. Then yesterday, we needed to do a couple of errands and then we had lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant! It's amazing how one can miss their favorite restaurants they like to cater to a bunch while they are traveling away.. I definately love my favorite Mexican and Chinese restaurants here in OKC!

While being with Michele and with Jamie, we went out several times to really neat places to eat too! Whether we went out to eat or ate snacks at Jamie's motel or ate meals & snacks at Michele's, or ate at restaurants while traveling to different places with Michele, all the food was sooo good no matter where we were at when we ate it!! Michele and I did eat at a wonderful BBQ place there in Phoenix called BobbyQ's. Talk about delish!! This was the first time that I've ever ate BBQ and didn't leave with a real heavy BBQ taste throughout my mouth! I highly recommend this place to everyone!! The atmosphere was real pretty and the waiters and waitresses were very nice too! Thanks for taking me there Shel!! I loved it!!

Now, to get back into the swing of things..which has already been hard for me to do. I did get my two suitcases all unpacked and the items all put away, which is a real good start! I told my Hubby that I must be having jet lag!! Wonder how long that lasts??? He did a real good job at holding the fort down, and keeping it cleaned and neat while I was gone too!! I like that, as then I don't have to jump right into lots of things needing done when I first get home, which means a whole bunch to this lady!

I had a good flight home too! I met a real nice lady named Maggie, who lives in California, and who was flying into OKC and then was going to pick up a rental car and then drive to Kansas (4 hr. drive) to see her Mom. She was going to visit with her Mom till next Monday. She was soo sweet! Maggie was very understanding too, when I had those big 'ol teardrops falling down my cheeks while the airplane was turning and getting ready to leave the Sky Harbor Airport. It was hard for me knowing that I was leaving my daughter behind there, and especially when I'm not sure when we'll get together again!! It had been eight months since I last saw her before this last time here. That's a long time! I'm hoping to make it not quite that long in between times that we see each other the next time we get together if I possibly can! With her being a traveling nurse, she doesn't get any time off to go visit with her family at all really, unless she is working someplace close to them, like she was when I visited both her and Jamie when they both were in California..Jamie was living in Soledad, and Michele was working & staying in Fresno..

I tried downloading my pictures to my computer, but...for some unknown reason it wouldn't work. I will have to check with my son Daniel and see if he can help figure it out for me. Hopefully we'll be able to get together sometime over the weekend here if he doesn't have to work.

"PLAYING GAMES"!

Hello blogging friends! Thank you so much for visiting with me today!

Gosh, it's hard to believe that I only have till next Wednesday to spend here being with my daughter Michele. The time is flying by so darn fast!!

We have had alot of fun these past couple of days also! Monday we went to visit a place called "Mystery Castle" here in Phoenix. It was quite interesting to see! I took a bunch of pictures while there and will share them later. After we visited there, we went and visited the Heard Museum..which also was very interesting! We got to see alot of beautiful pottery, handcarved dolls, gorgeous woven blankets, paintings, just to name a few items that we saw. Everything that caught our eyes was just totally beautiful! Then after visiting the museum, Michele asked if I'd like to go to Tucson, Az. to see the hospital where she worked at, and her apartments when she lived there.. I said sure! Again, everything was absolutely gorgeous! I just fell in love all with the beautiful mountains, cacti, homes, yards, etc.. It was quite awesome when Michele was telling me what each plant name was! I am very bad at remembering the name of plants and flowers, and trees, etc! I also have pictures to share of Tucson to share with you too! On our way home we saw a looong fast moving train, and I could just picture in my mind the cowboy days when they got stopped and robbed! I tried to take a picture of the fast, moving train, but it was way too dark out for doing anymore picture taking.. Oh well.. that's okay, as I got plenty of other neat pictures taken!

Then, guess what Michele and I did for most of the day yesterday?? Give up?? We played her new Wii game system that she received yesterday!! Oh what a ball we had!! We played all the sport games except for the boxing. I don't think we have ever laughed as hard as we did when we were playing those games!! I am really amazed that I'm not real sore today, as we played those games for I bet you, over 5 hours straight!! I won't find out till this evening when Michele gets home from work to see if she's sore from playing them.. I hope she isn't, as she already has a bad back, and is on her feet at her workplace for 12 hours.. Michele is good at making sure that her Mom gets lots of good exercise while visiting here with her, whether it's getting exercise by going Mall shopping, sight seeing or by playing the Wii!! No matter what we do, we always have fun!!

This sure is another beautiful day here in Phoenix! I love looking out Michele's windows and seeing the beautiful sun shine and gorgeous blue sky! Hopefully spring weather will be coming to each one of our homes soon! Seems like I'm looking forward to Spring even more so this year compared to the other years! I guess it's cause I love living with warm weather a whole bunch more than I do cold weather!
