Bowls & Pitchers!

Good Morning!

Today I thought that I'd share with you my bowl and pitcher that is sitting inside my Early American/Colonial Wash Stand that I found at a yard sale several years ago. My husband bought me my bowl and pitcher to put inside my stand.. Click on each of the pictures to enlarge them if you'd like a closer look..





This is my 2nd bowl and pitcher set..

This is the bowl to the pitcher that got broken...

I had a really pretty bowl and pitcher set that my husband had got me for one of our anniversary's, and one day, back when Daniel and his friend Brian were in 7th grade, they were goofing around inside the house socking at each other, and before I knew it, Brian hit my bowl and/or pitcher with his arm, elbow, hand, whatever it was and the pitcher fell to the floor and broke, not able to be repaired.. Needless to say, it broke my heart as I had that bowl and pitcher for many years and it had a whole lot of sentimental value to me.. It was like my very own antique piece... But, my husband found me another bowl and pitcher that I have pitctured, which is also very pretty... The one that got broke was also blue, and had a beautiful big pink rose displayed on it... The bowl is a very pretty light blue with a very pretty design within the edges... But, things like that happen... I forgave Brian...but it took me a little while, as he was laughing when it fell down and broke and I couldn't believe that he was laughing, as I was almost totally in tears! I remember telling him that I can't go and buy another one just like it, as Dan got that for me for our anniversary a long time ago.. He did tell me that he was sorry... but the damage was already done.. and my ♥ was broken... Have you had times like that too? Where something that meant so much to you got broken, and there was no way possible that you could find another one just exactly like it?  The bowl and pitcher set that I have now, means almost as much to me as that first set did.. because  it is something really special given to me from my husband,  Dan.♥
