Really Could Use Some Of Your Ideas On A Couple Of Things....

Good Morning!
I  would like to start out today, by saying, how very much I appreciate each and every one of you for coming and visiting with me on my blog and for leaving me such kind and thoughtful comments. You all are so very special to me! Thank you all so very much!!

I have been wondering what color I could paint my white corner hutch? Any ideas? I've tossed around the idea of RED so far. My diningroom table and chairs are black.. I am thinking about painting our opened livingroom, diningroom, and kitchen areas a yellow, but not exactly sure what shade yet. Possibly a goldish yellow.. I don't want a real bright yellow I don't think.. but I do want it to be a warm, cozy yellow.. Can anyone share a warm yellow that they have in their rooms? The open areas are now painted a color called Arizona Tan.. which is pretty, but, I'm just ready for a change, as we've had them this color for a couple years or so now..

Everyone please remember and keep Deena, (Can I Be Pretty In Pink is the name of her blog)  in your prayers. She is having surgery on Feb. 15th.  Please visit her on her blog that I have on my Great Blogs I Like To Visit sidebar.. which is down a little ways on my page..on the right side.. Thank you so much!

Today I might go and do some grocery shopping and then do up a few loads of laundry.. Nothing real exciting.. That's ok.. we've all got to have days like them sometime in our week too!

We do start going to a new Church Group starting  this evening which I am really looking forward to.. This is the first time Dan and I have been in a group at our new church that we've been attending. We were in a group at our last church and really enjoyed and made alot of wonderful new friends and learned a whole lot.. It was a hard decision to leave that group.. but since we weren't going to our old church anymore, we felt it better to do so.. We all decided that we still can remain  friends even if we don't attend the same church on Sunday.. They are a great bunch of people! I'm sure this new group we'll be attending will have alot of nice people in it also..

Thank you all for giving me the courage and confidence in myself that I really can lose some weight! I've got to share with you all that I did have a 2 lb. loss!! There for a minute I thought Judy (my weight watcher leader) was misreading the scale, but, I really did lose! Now, I've got to just keep it up!!

You all take care, be safe & stay warm....

Blessings,
~Lynn

  1. I am having the same dilemma as I want to paint my guest rooms before we have company this summer. I am thinking about a soft, yet cheery color.
I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Sorry that I was no help at all.

  2. Lynn, I have an open plan, too, and my walls are the actual color that your kitchen and living room wall appears in the photos. I've had it this color for 8 1/2 years now, and I still love it. Ours is Kansas Corn by Glidden if that helps.
Your rooms are gorgeous, by the way. I think the cabinet would look very nice painted red, but I like the white, too. Good luck!

  3. Lynn~ The yellow walls in our house are called yellowtail dam. It is a Dutch Boy color. It has some brown in it which I think makes it more of a warm color. I would paint your corner hutch black. I bet you knew I would say that...lol! I hope you have a good time tonight and that you make a lot of new friends. Congratulations on losing 2lbs! I am proud of you! Have a great day! ~Dan~

  4. Your home looks so cozy and inviting. As far as the color for your kitchen cupboard, I would paint it black to match the table & chairs. But that's just me! LOL! I love black furniture, especially if it's distressed.
I love your red focal wall. It looks like a nice cranberry red, which is my favorite color.
I think yellows would work well. Another favorite of mine is mustard, but you may not want a yellow that dark. I think your plans are great and will look awesome.
    Have a great week!

  5. Hi Lynn, I adore your living room: it's so cozy!
Happy to read you lost weight: congratulation!!! You are an example to me and to all those people like me that start with a new diet every 2-3 months (...and the day after they forget about it!)
Did you enjoy with the new Church Group?
I hope so and I am sure you will find lots of new friends.
I think that it is not necessary to attend the same Church to be friends, soooo enjoy this new project!

  7. Hi Lynn! I think maybe painting your hutch black with a mustard color drybrushed over the black and then distress the whole thing would be nice! I don't have any yellow walls in my house since hubby is not a big yellow fan so I really can't help with that. Congrats on the 2 lb loss ~ that's awesome!! Woot woot!!!
    Hugs,
    Donna
