Great Day For Staying In And Crocheting On My Afghan..

Good Morning Everyone...
Thought today would be a great day for me to just stay in and work on my afghan.. We definately are having an ice storm out there today.. There is already a quarter inch of ice out on the streets now.. and it's suppose to get worse throughout the day.. They have all the schools closed, and many other places are closed. Gosh, I sure hope everyone stays safe while out and about on the interstates and streets.. They say it's best to stay in... Needless to say, that's what I plan on doing!

Anyhow, I do plan on crocheting some more on my afghan.. I am quite anxious to get it done.. I think it will look real nice lying across the back of our couch.. and I think it's going to be pretty nice and warm too!
I've not made one like this one before.. I've made the double crocheted huge granny squared afghan, and the ripple afghan.. I'll be sure to share a picture once I get it all done. But..got to warn you, it will probably be months from now, as I only crochet a little at a time, since my fingers and left hand tire out so fast when I hold the yarn any length of time..

My husband Dan, is feeling much better today. He says he probably had the stomache flu.. I am so glad that he's feeling better! He is going to stay home from his work today, with the weather being so bad out, and with his resistance still not being completely back up to par, he came to the decision that it'd be best if he just stayed put today.. I highly agreed with him!

**I'm sharing with you all another beautiful giveaway! Spencer from bellamere cottage is having one! Be sure to visit her blog and sign up for it!

  2. I've heard it's really quite cold in your neck of the woods. We're actually a smidge warmer than usual here, I think. And, it's doesn't seem nearly as rainy. In fact, we have a tiny bit of sunshine peeking through the clouds today. YIPPEE.

I think working on your afghan is the perfect cold, winter's day project. It's going to be lovely when it's all finished.

    Warm blessings,
    Spencer

PS....thank you for mentioning my giveaway! :-)

  3. Lynn keep us posted on the ice storm in
Oklahoma. I know what it is like to have a
ice storm, we had one last year and was without
electric for a week. Hope that won't happen to
you. Love the colors of your yarn. Stay in and
    keep warm. Kay
