Good Morning! TGIF! This sure has seemed like a really nasty week! First starting out with my hubby being sick to all the snow/ice we now have.. Guess the snow that is falling out there now is supposed to be moving out sometime this evening..which really sounds sooo good to me! Oh gosh... I am more than sooo ready for spring to get here!!
I'm sharing more pictures with you all today.. I sure hope you aren't getting bored with looking at them.. It just really amazes me with how much ice, snow, sleet that we actually do get around these parts.. I was born and raised in the N.W. part of Pennsylvania, and I know how living with snow/ice/sleet can really be..and boy, we sure did get a bunch there, which to me always seemed to last forever! During the winter when I lived in Pennsylvania, I'd like go into hibernation, you know, like the bears do...I wouldn't venture going outside or driving anywhere unless I absolutely had to! I honestly can't say that I venture out anymore here than what I did back home in weather like we're having here now.. One nice thing I like about living here in Oklahoma is, that all the bad weather that we do happen to get here doesn't (normally) last for very long at all! Thank goodness! I just don't like living with bad weather on a daily basis.. I'm definately not a fan of the tornado season that we get here every year though.. Believe me, I'm always glad to get that season all behind me too! Thank goodness we have a tornado shelter built underground out in our garage! That was one requirement for us buying a home, that it absolutely must have one! Whether it was outside or inside the garage didn't matter, just as long as we had one! I really do miss a whole bunch the basements we had back home.. both for storage and yes, for safety reasons too! There aren't too many homes built around here that have basements.. but I've heard that they'll buid you one for underneath your home for an extra added cost..
I will have to share on my blog with you about when we were actually in the May 3rd, 1999 tornado... 3 years after our moving here to Oklahoma from Pennsylvania! Our son Daniel, was in the 9th grade in jr. high school at that particular time.. This is about all I'm going to share about it at this point.. but I promise that I will share more with you at another time.
You all have a great day and wonderful weekend too!! Thank you so much for visiting with me today!
Blessings,
~Lynn
